because it's a fun and addicting game at it's core...you have millions of ways to play through and construct a team of pokemon to play with

People are going back to pokemon because there are so many different types. Which means that pritty much everyone has a favourite one. And when new pokemon are discovered, there are more fans. I hope what i said made the slightest bit of sense!

I think that Pokemon is a really good series and i like it a lot. (Sorry for my english, i'm french!) The strange littles "bugs" and "pets". I was young when i heard 'bout it, and still now i love it!! Well, i'm just 18 years old.. But anyway! That's fun!! :D

Pokemon was never really abandoned in the first place. Its a really good series and if it was maybe its because of the new release of Diamond and pearl. I have both so far and i liked most of the other pokemon games ive played over my short life =]

the truth is that pokemon when it came out was a different type of game when it came out and each pokemon in the game is always new they dont reapet the pokemon every time they come out with a new game plus the grafics are always better than what it was before the older one it makes people curious look a good example when it first came out it was cool and so the person who played it passed it on to there friend in other words almost everyone liked it when it caame out plus it has its folowers like any game but like a racing game every time they come out there usually the same mabey just newer places to go and newer cars but in pokemon they dont usually repeat it there are new pokemon and new moves new graphics new places and of course new pokemon and the people who played the first one are like o that was a good game and they say this one must be good to there also curious there like o new pokemon and new places cool i wonder what its like THATS WHY PEOPLE ARE STILL IN TO POKEMON BECAUSE ITS DIFFERENT JUST LIKE DIGIMON

I rather as why we should'nt get back to Pokémon? They are mostly great games with a lot of fun gameplay. Trading and battling has become much bigger since the games got online so the chats and forums are literally booming on the net. Pokémon is big again just the franchise alone wouldn't make the game good but if you try to play D/P you'll probably get stuck playing. I've always liked the Pokémon-games and I'm now 20 years old and lately I've been playing Pokémon Ranger and I tell you it's pretty fun. The games are good but everything aside is the factor that makes people think that it's only for children. How would a 8-year old kid know how to breed egg chains, finding out and calculating IV's and EV's of the games and know how to play strategically? I say there's more sides to the games than the monster-hunting side.

I think Diamond and Pearl's Wi-Fi compatibility amounts to part of it.If you live in places where barely anyone had a Pokemon game before, you were out of luck.Nowadays if you have Wi-Fi, you can battle anyone on the face of the earth. :waaa:

I've played every pokemon game released. Each one is a new adventure, new storyline, maybe a few new gimmicks, and a ton of new pokemon to catch and battle. It's surprisingly addictive. :D
