honestly I dunno. Every single one of my friends is addicted, but me I find it okay and I'd rather be playing Advanced Wars Dual Strike anyday. Maybe its the hype. Dont always believe the hype ppl.

I'd have to agree with the pikachu part. Always wished he could dodge like mathew from fire emblem (with 30 spd of course).

As mentioned previously, I don't think anyone ever really leaves Pokemon. Once a fan, always a fan. With every installation in the series (such as Diamond and Pearl), most fans will come back to picking up where they left off and playing as if they hadn't played before and new fans will be drawn into the cycle as well. That's the case in my experiences, at least. I was very little, about 6, when the original games came out so I didn't really get to play them until I was a little older and better able to enjoy it. I still play them from time to time now. It's just fun! It's good to know that the game keeps advancing and improving. I mean, it's interesting to look back on good old Red and Blue and then turn over to the more modern Diamond and Pearl; there are definite differences and alterations but both brought fans the same fun and entertainment, right? That's what I like about this series. Yup, I definitely never left and neither did anyone else who scrambled around to catch a glimpse of Diamond and Pearl.

Look up into the stars and you're gone.

This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time.

I guess most people were in love with it at one point in time so they just get the new games hoping it wont let them down again.

WHy are people going back to pokemon?I don't get it...Explain...

I guess because it's developing and having new pokemon so people are becoming interested in the new types of pokemon that are coming out. I guess Pokemon never went out of style

Because the franchise doesn't know how to die. They think that if they "reinvent" the game and slap some new box art on it, then they can call it new. Pokemon is dead, and it doesn't want to move on...

Because it's pokemon. We remember enjoying it when we were younger, so it seems like a great idea to buy a game we know will be great. Not only that, but you can finally catch 'em all, thanks to the wifi connection.

Pokemon has been with us for generations, after Pokemon Pearl and Diamond was released my fellow guy buddies all just started to have gatherings were we all just played old school Pokemon games. So nostalgic. And while we have new releases we have all the more reason to start playing again, waiting for newer and letting loose of the older but we keep looking back at some times comparing the new games with the older ones. It's more fun this way, I guess.
