i think people play just because it is a good game.raise pokemon.train them.battle..it's just a good game.(this is just my opinion)

I dont know why....I think its because ppl like to relive the good ol days....now with Wifi capabilities so now they dont need a stupid cable to trade and battle.

Easy, Pokemon games are legend, when Diamond was released people got back the feel to go back and okay pokemon. The way I see it, as long as pokemon is around it'll be played.

Well, a lot of people like pokemon. Diamond/pearl is just as good as the other titles.

id have to say that i agree with this quote:
Once you see a new game come out, you sometimes get curious as to what is different about it from what it was back when Pokemon Red & Blue Versions origionally came out when most of us were kids.simple, because everyone has liked pokemon at one point so why not try the new game?

i think the reason people keep coming back to pokemon is because it never will really die, and it has a good style of gameplay. it might be a little hard to come up with new ideas for it, but the gameplay in itself is fun. its hard to mess up a good thing, and pokemon is a good example.

Amen. I still get loads of flack from friends whenever I start playing one however (I haven't in several years and only recently begun Ruby), despite how many times I tell them that it is similar if not better than the RPGs that they play.People go back to Pokemon (as if they ever left it.
) due to the fact that the games are good. The people who say that Pokemon is for babies are either saying it because others say it, they have never played the games, or they've only watched the show. The games are very good, it's just the show that's bad. It's okay if you think the games are bad, it's just that the general majority of the people like the games.

Yes, Secretly i have had a pokemon journey going on for a big portion of my life, actually playing daily or picking it up when i just want to waste some time, pokemon is always going to be a part of me whether i like it or not!

A new pokemon game is a completely new world with new strategies to play. Besides, games like pokemon and mario never lose their charms.

pokemon actually recquires some planning and strategy. a seven year old can play it, but it takes an older kid to master it with all the IV and EV training and chain breeding...also, i just forgot my train of thought....oh yeah! wi fi battles means playing against far away friends like you were still 8 years old. it brings out the best in all of us and brings the world together with wi fi.

it all boils down to popularity. Pokemon has a large fan base from the days of red and blue and they have been following it through every change that it undergoes, so until the fan base is removed persons will always gravitate towards it. There is also the fact curiosity sometimes pokemon can be very addictive

Despite how kiddish the game seems, people always enjoy playing it, whether they're adults or kids. How many other games are that where you can capture over hundreds of 'monsters', train them, fight them, and evolve them? Not too many. As the others said, the newer versions also introduce different things. It's almost silly to some how popular the game is, but it really is rather enjoyable in my opinion.

Most people love pokemon still and it is a game that anyone can play... so why not play it and try it out. They also make new pokemon games because they know that the younger generations of kids would want the game very badly so, it is also used a game everyone can play ^^ i still play them too... i want the new pearl version, why not???
