I just can't stand the new D/P pokemon, I just bought Pokemon Diamond because it was the first DS game and the new features, in the end I traded back my old party from FireRed version, and now there's Platinum, the new gimmick, I have absolutely no reason to buy that right now. >.<

If you go to a Gamstop or EB Games, you look at the used Pokemon games and you'll see that they are priced the exact same as when they were new. This is because they keep coming out with more and more different Pokemon, and people go back to it because they're interested in the new additions. I know, I'm one of them.

Pokemon's been popular for a decent amount of time. I have been a fan since I was a little kid and there was only 150 Pokemon. (Ah, the good old days) The game is pretty fun and people are usually interested in the new Pokemon.

People just love pokemon- it may be a spinoff of Magic the Gathering, but it's the best spinoff out there (as opposed to, say, Yu-Gi-Oh and its season one opening. I get a headache remembering... "It's time to D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DDuel!).

Not necessarily, The wii version was pretty freakin' horrible. wi-fi doesnt have random battles (excluding battle tower, but that doesn't count)and gts is plagued with a bunch of idiots trading level 1 bidoofs for mews, deoxys' and the like.

Probably because pokemon had so much fans and when the firs pokemon game came out every one was so exsited and wanted more games. But pokemon for the wii isn't so good and if you don't have a ds you pretty much were screwed

F YEAH FOR LEVEL ONE BIDOOFS!But seriously, if you can get a friend to play along with you, and you have some of the older GBA games, Pearl and Diamond will last awhile. I know I got a few weeks of game play with playing online and all the fun stuff.

Well, the game definitely has a large fanbase, and the developers keep busting out quality games. Pokemon has held my interest in RPGs better than even Final Fantasy, and that's saying something.
