when pokemon came out, i never really got to play it. my mom didn't approve of video games, and not really pokemon either. If i got cards, my friends gave them to me. If i was able to play the game, I borrowed that game, and the gameboy from my friend for a few days, and never really got very far. Now, that I can do almost anything I want, and I have emulators, I can finally play pokemon. YAY!!! :gs:

for me its a nostalgic thing....the first game i ever had for my gbc was yellow version...everytime a new pkmn game comes out, i feel like i have to play it cause it connects me my childhood.interesting take on the show drawing kids and pushing away older fans....but if u think about it, its true, at least in part. i mean, unless ur a hardcore anime fan, you really dont watch the show after ur like 10-12 yrs old, max.but the game, i still play it and im way older than that! haha

going back? Some people never left it. Also, because of the fan base it would make sense to make more pokemon games. Any game that spawns sequels is the same. If your game does spectacular on the market it only makes sense to keep churning them out.

Yea I agree pokemon is a great game thats extremly adictive. For a while though the Pokemon games were struggling to go forward as they were unable to create new pokemon and new plots but lately with the release of diamond, pearl and pokemon platnium more and more people are starting to get back into the Pokemon games!!!!!!!!!!!!

new pokemon has new hidden values and effort points. you can read about them on other sites. This means your pokemon could be born with great talent or be untalented and you can train your pokemon's strength and have higher points to have advantage in battles.More you train, the better your pokemon is. It's better alright :)

Pokemon was generally the very first COMPETITIVE turn-based RPG. This brought in a good bit of creativity into the works. Though, I don't generally like pokemon it's not a surprise people still play it.

I agree, I like pokemon, I always have, it's an interesting and well developed world.

I wouldn't be suprised if even more people than before play.

I still play them because they were all (at least the main sereis RPG 1st 2nd 3rd 4th generation) well-enginneered RPGs and i started playing during the 3rd gen (although i have played 1st and 2nd gen too) leafgreen back in 2003 and everytime i go back to it i get that felling like it's when i first got the game.Plus, it's just plain cool.

Pokemon is fun, and you train your monsters to fight people online. Also trade + catch / collect them all

The thing with pokemon is that it is basically a very, very good RGB. It is adventerous, you can collect something, you can improve something, you can fight. And the system is fine-tuned enough so it doesn't get boring once your part of the world. Fighting against another friend after choosing 6 pokemon which were just prepared for this fight right from hatching their eggs, so they get the 'perfect' movecombination and can counter some of the many possible battling strategies... Never found something that was actually more challenging or satisfying.I think I'll still want to play pokemon in the future, also if one day the graphics are so detailed, that I actually feel the gras swaying in the wind and the whole 3D world is just around me..... On the other hand, also people who don't like to collect every item and every pokemon will still have fun, just playing it through, and never even thinking about effortpoints and traininggrounds and so on...

well i guess its because there is always some invisible, shall we say "other consciousness" magnet that draws us to it. have you ever seen adds for a game, but remember you have an older version for an older console stashed somewhere else, and rather than getting a new game for your latest console, you tend to return to that game. It's sorta like that. Of course, if you don't have a clue what i'm talking about, then you don't have a clue qhat i'm talking about.

Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?
