Pokemon went out a bit for a while there, so I'm glad it's back. Myself liking pokemon, as wierd as that may sound coming from a girl~Actually, I think it's the revival of Silver, Gold and Crystal. Everybody liked that region best, but I may be wrong. Nintendo have decided to bring pokemon back up from the dead, 'nuff said~

I go back to it only because I can find it for free on here with an Emulator. Another good reason I like to still play it is because I don't have a controller for my computer so I enjoy simple games that don't require anything more than a few buttons on your keyboard and maybe the mouse occasionally. So Pokemon is perfect for me but I wouldn't go out and buy it because its too much when I only play the games for maybe an hour and don't touch them again for a month.

Pokemon started out as a classic and the newer games out for it don't bring it down like so many other game sequels tend to. They constantly add more and more depth the game, and I think it's come a long way. It's got cute pokemon for the girls, cool looking ones for the guys, and even older gamers can get a kick out of the strategy involved with competitive battling. I dare say the storylines have gotten better even if there are just too many pokemon to care about. It's easy to pick up, even if you've never played Pokemon before, and it still retains at least a bit of the charm it had back when it was new. I think there's no reason why it shouldn't still be popular, and that there's no mystery to why people are still going back to it.

Pokemon is becoming more famous simply because of the Nintendo Wi-Fi; you can trade and battle people across the world with easiness. The previous generation games lacked this.

well mainly cuz pokemon has mainly been like the signature game for nintendo since like as long as i can remember (except mario and zelda)its one of the best simple rpg games that dun have any deep storyline or awesome graphics but still stays to satisfy the average joe.many ppl just play pokemon to relieve their child hood days.some people who stay away just say that the game is too childish or not serious enough but the many others will have a hell of a time having fun cuz the last thing i remember thats what games are for! :haw:

Because of its game dynamics, sure the whole set up of catching animals in balls and battling them is freaking rediculous, not to mention "evolving" being a big f u to darwin, but in the end i cant help it. sucked me in big time.

I havent played pokemon platnium but i dont see why people would spend extra cash for a couple of add ons to a previous game which is (in some cases) half the price atm.

Well i've missed out on alot of Pokemon games over the years. the last one i played was Yellow i think..after playing the GB version and the RED and BLUE version on GBC i just found it sooo repetitive and obvious i didnt bother. but i;m now playing Platinum.. and enjoying the memories of the game slightly improved with the touch screen..although i'm pretty dissapointed with the SAME setup and the SAME annoying Tw*tty 'friend' you have to stumble upon at every town...geeeez i'd rather not have a bloody friend if i have to put up with THIS pr*t in the next game..which is obviosuly intended as the creators of Pokemon games have no creativity..oh yeah..except 'Pokemon Dungeon'..which is sooooo fun btw.... ¬_¬ but otherwise ..give a decades worth of Pokemon games a mis and then you'll find the excitement for the game will rekindle..at least for that month you play it, then you'll be happy to flick the power button and close the DS for another 10years of Pokemon TIN...BRONZE and 25Carrot gold! YAYYYYY!!!

Why are people going back to pokemon games, Etc...? well, I would have to say mainly the new features in the games, new pokemon (I love the sinnoh ones!),etc... Also, its a great way to find a subject to discuss, make friends, etc... Plus, I think we are getting to much free time these days.

I played all the pokemon games except Diamond/Pearl/and Platinum cuz when i beat the first gym unexpectedly it got boring from there on its same story collect all pokemon beat a team of bad guys while beating gym leaders.....so its not fun anymore for me. If Pokemon battle system change and becomes like street fighters then it will b fun where u can actually dodge and lvls dont count that much, cuz if i speak for myself training to certain lvl to beat a certain gym leader is most boring aspect of the game.

People dont necessarily like pokemon, but they like the games. Like me...i stopped watchin pokemon since brock and misty left ash that was years ago! but i still enjoy the games, and now they are even more fun with Sir VG's patches and the way we can trade and battle with peope worldwide. To be honest im going to say it, its top 5 RPG's in the world.

i believe people who liked pokemon stopped playing with it cause they thought it was a childish game to be embarassed of. so nw a lot of people are playing it again cause they actually never stoppes liking pokemon, plus if you add the opportunity to download it without having to go to a shop and always say "it's for my little sister, NOT FOR MEEEE" does help a lot to return to this classic.i personally never stopped playing pokemon, i love the game!!!!

I can't understand the appeal of Pokemon either. Perhaps the first time the game was released, then in colour, but seriously, its kinda the same thing over and over again. With newer Pokemon and a tweaked storyline.
