It was released as Final Fantasy II on SNES is the US (and Europe ? Not sure...)...The remake will surely be the best DS game....FFIII is great, but IV was so great on SNES...Anyone knows if they plan to remake V and VI too ? Maybe VII to IX too ?FF IV??? which one???I've never played it....Looks cool....

got to played a little of the japanese version, graphic was so good, and the everything was just perfect...even if i understood like 10% of everything they said and did

Wow, there's a remake coming out on final fantasy 4???dam, has anyone played it on GBA? I played final fantasy 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,10,11,12 and someday, i might get final fantasy 13!!!!

I played the JAP version on my Dev Card, and I really hope it hits the US sometime this year (at all would be nice). Thanks to my knowledge of the game, I was able to navigate fairly smoothly. There are enough changes that it kept me on my toes.The game itself is beautiful, both the CG-Cinematic cuts, and the in game cuts were well done. The voice acting was a big plus, and I hope they can find some talented actors to bring the game to life in the US.The battles played out even faster then they did back in the old version, which was great. Some of the moves and abilities have been altered slightly, but for the better in my opinion. The best addition to the game, was the mini-map completion quests. If you have ever played Star Ocean 3, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Basically, almost every floor of every dungeon has its own mini-map that starts off incomplete. As you progress through the floor, it slowly becomes revealed. There is a percentage gage that tells you how much of this floor you've seen. If you manage to see it all, and get 100%, you are rewarded with a trove of items! Usually just a dozen potions or something similar, but sometimes you get new equipment, or even rare items.I thought the whole experience was great, and I really can't wait to punch through this game in English!

I tried it too yesterday...I didn't understand anything....had to guess what I was doing...the voice acting is a big plus ! Hope it will make it in the US version ! Graphics are better...story will surely be better than FFIII as the SNES version had a great one...no stylus play possible, at least, not only with it ! I've heard reports on G4's ticker that the US release date is set for July 22nd. This is awesome.(GameFAQs seconds the report. So I guess this can be considered official.)

I really hope that the July 22nd date is the official release date because I really want to play this game in English. I also hope that the English voice acting won't be too terrible.

Definately on my "To Buy List". FFIV is one of my favorites, and i think the remake will be as good, if not better, than the original.

ive just been playing it on gba and it will be good wid better graphics and voice acting if it has those 2 things it will be the greatest final fantasy game remake

I didn't liked FF III, the original and the remake... the IV may be better thought, it's way more complex and more FF-ish style

The only reason I'm building up my GP's are because of this game. The old version is what got me into video games, this gonna rule so much.
