yea i saw a trailer for the game and it looked cool but i have never played the original so i just love FF so yea if it looks good i will get it when it comes out

I love final fantasy, but 3 for ds is awfull. only thing good about it is the graphics. if they remake the 4th one then i think if they do anything, they should add more onto the story i.e. add more character depth. Kain is a character that would be cool to know about.

Ok, so FF4 is one of the better Final Fantasys, definitely a classic RPG from the SNES days.Now it is being remade for the DS, with brand new graphics and features. One new feature they are adding is characters who die over the course of the events in the game can pass on their unique abilities to others. For example, lets say there is a redmage who dies - he can pass his magic spells to any character in the party! That means by the end of the game, every character could potentially be a powerful magic user or fighter, even if they were not intended to be.Anyway, the official developer's blog can be found at the website. They will sometimes post some new images of the game there. I suggest you visit it and update this thread when news hits.Right now, you can see an image of Palom and Porom. You know what I hate about this stuff. The box and marketing art look one way, then the games looks all cartoonlike and cutesy. Not that the characters on the box and marketing art are very likeable to me. What is it with the Final Fantasy male characters all looking like a bunch of prissy little dandys. Make men look like men for goodness sake.

I don't know I think this game looks awesome and I hope it is good, the thing I'm worried about is the fact that they are going to have English voices, and that can't be good

I loved the SNES Final Fantasy IV so I'm already stoked for the remake. I hope the ability to pass on the powers of dead characters doesn't overpower the player.

Final Fantasy has done that art style switch before. I think think that there is an authenticity to the cutesy style graphics, but it should probably be advertised that way.BTW: When is this coming out? I wanna do FF3 as well, but FF4 would be nice :punk:

Yet ANOTHER Final Fantasy remake? As much as I love the series, this is starting to get ridiculous. How about remakes of other old games? Secret of Mana? Secret of Evermore? Super Mario RPG? Hell, I wouldn't even mind if Chrono Trigger got remade again.

I personally never thought FF4 to be standout great, but when it is released in English I will still buy it, because it is still a good game.

This was my favorite FF of the 2d days. The story and music were unrivaled. So this is going to be done in the style as FF3.. hopefully they add a map feature or something, just anything besides a black screen!!! Do you think they will remake any more after this?

I'm pretty sure that, for those wo use to gut EVERY FF game that cames out this remake saga is probably gueting noring, but thetre is always sameone wo never played that particular version... remamber buyng FF4 PSX version but was not able to enjoy since there was such long loadings.,,

Sure enough, a few days prior to the start of the Square Enix Party, the company has revealed plans for a full remake of the next entry in the series, Final Fantasy IV.Fully unveiled on the pages of the latest issue of Jump magazine, Final Fantasy IV makes the move to full 3D. We're not sure if it's necessarily using the exact same engine as that of FFIII, although the staff that developed FFIII are overseeing the FFIV conversion.Square Enix has a few changes planned on top of the visual update. The game will feature new episodes, allowing players to get deeper acquainted with the storyline. sounds grand i wouldnt expect them to bring it out for 2 consoles i a row it got released on gba dont understand why there doing it for ds though it sounds great.

I'm so looking forward to this. i was WAY too excited when i found out. i really hope they do more Snes rpgs, like FF5 and 6, and maybe even move on to do 7 and 8 or something...

Jaaaayy!!!I LOVE Final Fantasy! It would be nice if they remade some off the newer games, too! (Wouldn't you want a FF8 or FF10 on your DS? But then again, that might not be such a good idea :) I would like FF8, though!)I can't wait for this game ^-^
