No, I believe Will Wright said that this game would be offline, but the creatures that populate the vast reaches of the game would be taken from other players of the game Via some sort of online service or something, as far as I know there won't really be any contact with other people in this game

The system is that when ou will be playing the game will download spores from other players, depending on your "taste" in creating of your own spore. Also I'm sure that "taste" downloading will be the first thing they will cut out if the deadline will be to strict. However lets wait till summer 2008 (I hope).

I dont think so...My info says it is a massivily single player game, which would mean that it needs an internet connection, but isn't nessesarily means it's on the net.And I'm with you this game will be so FUN, I'm going to be on the computer all weekend when it comes out!!!It is gonna be PERFECT and i have read that it is gonna be online.Is that True?
No, not quite.That's only your buildings, your veilchles and your spacecraft (it is not a UFO, it is identified as your F.O.)The creatures downloaded will be suited to your environment, they could be the polar opposite of your creature, it downloads creatures depending onwhat YOUR ecosystem needs to work efficiently, and like a real eecosystem, species will go extinct, [and new creatures will probably brought in, in their stead.](My assumptions are in brackets. Oh my, this is one of the most amazing games to be created. The concept is simple - but it looks so good, and the fact your creature develops on how you design him is just.. Amazing. Yea. Can't wait 'till it gets out.

My Pre-order at gamestop says 5/18/08It should come in around that time, although itwould be nice if the creators od spore releasedan early version of an editor, such as the one being demoed at like E3 to the public with preorders or othergames, they would see massive sales on the latter.So anyone want to share what their creature designs are so far?Like Triped, Scorpion, Raptor that kinda thing.I have a couple, the first is a scorpion with six eyes and a carnivorous mouth,a stinger, and either 2 huge claws, or 2 or 4 mantis fore-limb type arms.Another design is a raptor with the tail arching over the creatures head witha stinger. Two reverse articulated legs, and spikes along its spine. With normal claws for arms though (normalcyit probly wount come out untill the end of 2008 or early 2009 :/
).The last of my designs was something similar to the monster-human from doctor who season three.Eight legs, 6 of which end in a spine or spike, the last two are heavy clawed feet.It has a very long tail with several spines and stingers along it and at its tip,it also has spines, spikes, stingers along it's spine, has a humanoid face.

Man wqhen i first knew thet they were making this ganme, i went crazy, is like if they have readed my mind, and with wilkl wrights expiriense in living beings life emulation, this game is going to rock, i cant wait to lout my hands on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It comes out this year, they're finishing it up. Current release date is April, they plan on announcing the official release date in a few months.They also plan on releasing the creature editor a few weeks before the game.

the release date is yet to be determind because will wright is sorta takeing his time to finish itDude Spore is going to be the greatest game to ever exist! just thought id share my wisdom on the topic. any one know when its gonna Release?

How long do we have to wait?! 
Everytime they set a "date" they move it back a few months. Now I still think that it is going to be the best game since Sims 2 but....is it completly worth the wait? Ps. The first creature I'm making is a Chocobo

Spore seems a bit like a gimmick.It's going to be really fun at first, but I think eventually people will get tired of it. But it's good to see that developers are taking experimentation in a totally new direction!

Spore is going to be a wonderful game. My only concern is that it will fall into the same area as The Witcher and Crysis where today's top model machines have difficultly with the thing as a whole.
