I tend to use my thumbnail on occasion. It depends on if it's a very stylus-dependent game. Like I just picked up Professor Layton, and it uses the stylus extensively, so I use it instead of my fingers. However, in Pokemon Platinum, during the battles, I used my thumbnails to pick out my attacks because between battles you used the directional pad to traverse the cities.It's all very game-dependent for me. If I'll be using the stylus nonstop, I'll pick it up and use it. However, if I can get by using the stylus fleetingly, I'll use my thumbnail instead.

I use both of them... if the game uses the touch screen to play than i will use the stylus but i'll use my fingers for games that don't use the touch screen much

When I'm setting the DS to be an alarm, I'll poke the DS with my fingers while I'm getting the stylus out. But it's only ever to get past that annoying intro/white screen.

I will NOT use my fingers on the touchscreen, it will make it dirty and my fingers are to big for decent precision play. So I use the stylus always. I even use the stylus from my phone when i'm playing/speaking on the phone.

It really depends.. if the buttons are extremely small, I will be forced to use the pen since it can reach it. If the buttons are normal sized, I will just use my thumb nails to save time.

Usually i find myself not using the stylus because alot of games don't use it all that much, but if it's things like drawing or writing i just use the stylus. For example, in New Super Mario Bros. You almost only have to touch the touchscreen for your back up item, so i just tap my flower with my thumb, but in Castlevania for the DS i use the stylus to draw the rune thingies

No way! I'm like OCD when it comes to finger prints (sad but true), so I always ensure that I never lose my stylus AND I hold it so that I never touch the back of the top screen. If I do I wipe it with a lens cloth... :facepalm: I'm a freak, I know..

I use both my thumb and the stylus. There are just some games like Lego Batman that you have to move around quickly and it is more confortable not to hold the stylus. So I will use my thumb to activate items on the touchscreen. Just clean the screen when you are done. If you have young kids playing like I do you clean then often anyways.

Depends on what I'm doing really, when I'm using Colors, a homebrew drawing program for those of you who have not heard of it, I'll use the stylus, but for most other games I'll use my thumbs.

Ew, fingers get greasy prints all over. I'm fine with using the stylus, except it does get tiring holding the DS with one hand for a long time. Especially since I still have the original model which feels like it weighs about ten pounds. @__@;;

I do but only on the main screen. But most games you play don't really require the stylus anyways. so its kinda a waste. And I am mostly playing GBA games on it.
