great topic by the way. my friends and i still play all the time. (we're all 18 and out of high school) im gonna bring my 64 to college and see if there's any good competition. ssb64 is one of the greatest games of all time. really simple to learn yet tough to master. also there is so many random things that can happen that it makes for a very interesting, never redundent game. good times, and great memories. oh and link all the way.

SSB64 is completely different from Melee. It's slower and less frantic which is good as it lets you see where your character is. I am best with Samus & Link.

i play this game alot. melee is alot better though and i play as everyone exept dk, jigglypuff, and yoshi

If I lived back in my Hometown I would play it, since my friend owned it. Go Luigi, go Luigi. Luigi owned in that game, but sucks in Melee T.T

I like better the original SSB than the melee. I mean its the clasics, the first time you see ur favorites characters in battle!! I love DK, I think that nobody has ever beaten me with DK(unless they have a DK too lol) and the most I dislike is Yoshi or Ness I cant use their 3rd jump

As soon as I can get my downloads from this site to stop screwing up (it's my fault, not DGEmu's), I'm gonna buy a joystick and play it on computer. I did have an N64, and when I did I played SSB a lot. I was good with practically all the characters, except for Link.

i still play all the time! I own Brawl and have played SSBM and i actually think the original is the best. too bad it gets boring when your friends aren't over. the subspace emissary is the only reason i play SSBB

i began collecting N64 games latelyi got a SSB it is awesome :rolleyes:my fave chars are pikachu and ness though i dunno if i am such a good player D:

IT DOES NOT SUCK!! Just because it's on the Nintendo 64 and there's only 12 characters, doesn't mean it sucks. It's still fun to play.Super Smash Bros. 64 is a fun game to play still! :smile1: Sometimes I play 10 stock matches with my favorite character Ness!This game sucks, after melee was released. There is no reason ever to go back to the original SSB :PTHis is just like CS 1.5 and CS Source ahaha
