I really like NDS. There is the Touch screen, microphone, Wireless comunications, wi-fi and a Gba slot. There is over 3000 games too.

As much as I love the N64 because of the classic and great games released on it (Star fox 64, Harvest moon 64, etc etc) I'm going to have to say DS and/or Wii are the 'greatest' nintendo systems because of what they're capable of.

The NES saved the gaming industry, but the SNES blew the doors off the gaming industry and really pushed things to the limit. It brought a lot of series to the mainstream market that were previously cult or underground. Final Fantasy 6 (3 on SNES) is a great example as it is arguably the best SNES rpg and best Final Fantasy to date. Prior to that we had FF1 on NES and FF2 (Never heard anyone talk about this game, ever) on SNES. FF6's graphics, music, gameplay and depth of storyline and characters were unrivaled at the time. To this day, that game seems to be the standard of measurement for a lot of console RPGs. Zelda, a Link to the Past is also another great example. Prior to that we had The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link which were both fantastic games themselves, but a Link to the Past raised the bar and you can see the influence it had on it's successors on other consoles. Mario Kart was one of the coolest racing games ever, especially if you got four people playing it. Street Fighter II was a good look into where the fighting game world was going. Secret of Mana, Ogre Battle, Illusion of Gaia, the list goes on.

N64 YEA MAN N64 SINCE IT HAS ALL THE GOOD GAMES SUCH AS SUPER SMASH BROS. ,ZELDA, ETC. N64 IS THE COOLEST GAME SYSTEMPOINTS were deducted for this post by The ArchbishopPlease refer to the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

For me it's a tie between the NDS and the SNES. The SNES will always have some of my favorite games, and still amaze me with the colorful graphics and awesome music (in SOME games anyways!)...but at the same time, I play my NDS daily, which says plenty on it's own! If only I could play perfect versions of SNES games on my NDS, it would be a perfect world! :gs:

The NES was by far the best and most innovative system. No matter how many side-scrolling shoot 'em up games I play, I'll never get bored. But when it comes to the 3-D world, I would have to put a vote in for the N64. Some of the games just blew me away when it first came out. I didn't think it was possible to emulate real life like that and I'm still amazed at what the N64 spawned.

GC. Mainly because of Resident Evil 4 and the Metroid Prime series.

Exactly my thought. RE4 Rocked! Just hated those damn chainsaw men.
