the green and gray game boy. it started one of the most successful lines of systems ever. it started pokemon, wario, and tons of other great series. tetris alone was a reason to buy one. the sound was even in amazing stereo if you used headphones

Either the N64 or Gameboy Advance. Both systems were a breakthrough for gaming in my opinion, and both systems carry many outstanding game titles.

Definitely the SNES, but I am biased by the fact that it is also the one I played the most and I am a RPG fan... Mario RPG is the best game i never owned.

would have to be the snes. some of the titles it introduced are still in production in today's generation of consoles, and chrono trigger was so good they reintroduced it, basically fresh from the snes, onto the DS.

I have to say it's the NES. It's just hard to beat that feeling I got when I first played it, compared to the 2600 I had before the graphics were soooo great. And some of those NES games are still with us today and hold up pretty well. Yeah they don't have the graphics or depth of some of the current stuff but how many of them will still be played 20 years from now!!

I loved The Game Cube. It was really fun and had a lot of great games, but the DS is always good, too.

The SNES, by far. Zelda ALTTP, S. Mario World (Kart, too), the start of the good FF games, EarthBound, Chrono Trigger, I could write a whole page on epic SNES games. Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG....

aside, i'm going to say the NES. It saved the asses of the videogame industry in the 1980's. Without it, there wouldn't have been any halo or mario or zelda (OMGOMGOMG THANK YOU SO MUCH NINTENDO). Otherwise, I would say the greatest nintendo system would be the SNES and N64, because both of them laid the foundation of what Nintendo is today. SNES had great games, N64 made the jump to 3d. Now we have awesome games in 3d (brawl/ zelda/mario!)

Hands down the N64. I think the controlers are iffy now, but if they remaid the N64, and modernized it, it would be great. I preferred cartridges because it is harder to mess up the games than it is with Cd's. Basicaly with cartridages all you have to worry about is dust. You have to be way more careful with the disks.
