Has to be the N64 for OOT. Been playing the Gamecube version all day and it still makes me wonder at the brilliance of Nintendo!

It would be a toss up between the SNES and the N64, but I would go with the N64. Some great games (Ocarina, Super Mario, Kirby 64) were on the console.

I prefer NDS (so to me the greatest nintendo system is NDS), love the touch screen feature and the cool design (esp NDS lite)

The Wii is quite simply the best. No other game system is like it. It combines an easy-to-use interface with motion sensitivity, plus games that appeal to everyone.Ya just can't beat it. =P

Greatest is such a subjective term, each console gets progressively better and each has their unique pull. The "worst" i would say is the n64 and the gamecube (which is weird since these platforms had the greatest games!), I guess it's true what they say about art. that great art is created within the confines of the medium, not because of their strength.

The Famicom aka Super nintendo which as like the Allies or the Axis in the greatest console war against Sega. Super nintendo truly stood out that it continued producing games when cd roms console were around the corner. Thanks to the FX chip which made The SNES still the superior console of them all. N64 was only great for it's only original nintendo games like smash bros, mario 64 and the two first zelda 3-D games. And thanks to this console that sparked america's interest for RPG.

The SNES, for Chrono Trigger alone. Not to mention the endless list of other awesome games. I don't think any other system is history has had a higher volume of unbelievably addictive games. Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, All 3 Final Fantasies, Tales of Phantasia, Pilotwings (yeah, I liked it), Secret of Evermore, Lufia, Star Fox, Aladdin (shut up), all 3 Donkey Kong Country games, F-Zero, Terranigma, Tetris Attack, Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers, Super Star Wars (maybe I'm the only one who likes that game), the Mega Man games...OK, I'll stop being a fanboy now. There`s too many.

I'd hav 2 say its the N64. The first system to utilize the 64-bit gaming world to its full extent. The games were way of ahead of their time. They became instant classics. Lik Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. It's still fun 2 play, even today.

It could be because of how old i was at the time, but the N64 was absolutely amazing. Most of my favorite games of all time were on that system. Mario 64, Zelda: OoT and MM...Starfox 64, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo, Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Blast Corps, Smash Bros, Ahh...what a system.
