It's a common stereotype that is sometimes true but thats always the case in stereotypes - it is sometimes true. But for the most part no, gamers are not to-be 40-year-old virgins.

Well in some cases gamers are doomed to be a virgin forever, but I wouldn't say that gaming gives you a higher chance of staying a virgin, example: lots of retards on the planet who don't play games but are virgins

Haha, there IS a connection, but... In my opinion, it depends on your type of gamer, Casual or Hardcore. If you pass like Thirty Bogillions Hours of Pokemon Diamond gaming, I don't think you lost your virginity ! A casual gamer, playing video games, not like a no-life, can have sexual intercourses ^_^!

nah i don't think gamers necessarily have to be the nerdy virgin type. I've been a gamer for years and I have a girlfriend, good relationship too. And i still get out the house and party. most of my friends are the same way.

a lot of gamers DO go outside their house to catch some fresh air except for stupid people with no lives, which are like 1 in 1000 people

Yeah, it does depend if they have a life. I'm lucky though- girl gamers have a much easier time of it. I think that it's being shut in a room all day, not just liking games, that would inhibit you socially. My current bf is also a gamer and he never had any problems either.

i say no cause i'm a gamer and i'm no virgin. if anything i'll admit to having done some dumb things under the influence of the...how shall i say the urge. i also know plenty of gamers who aren't so i think i agree with the idea of computer nerds being the virgins...be afraid it could happen to you, so get up get out and take over.

i agree with you....i'm no virgin either......but still a gamer......the thing is you have to know how to act and you have women allover you:good:):gay2:):gay2:)

I'm not even close to being classed as a 'serious' gamer. However most serious gamers I know are somewhat socially awkward. These range from them being shy, to having no idea how to act around other people at all. I think once these socially awkward people discover video games, a form of interaction that is neither judgemental or rejects you, they lose interest in other social activites. This cycle can continue until they are very much 40 year old virgins.
