XII was great but damn some of the bosses were hard, and ive beaten all FF to date except XI, never really got into that one.

I would have to say that Crisis Core would have to be my favorite, followed by XII and then IX. People who are constantly bragging about VII really have not played all of them lol.

i liked the story of X, and it's turn based.granted i didnt get to finish many others, but i preferred the gameplay to vii and x-2

I picked FFVII because I really lilke the ATB and materia system and the story is absolutely one of the best.

I own them all but I have to say my fav was ff 7. Reason being it was so different than the super nintendo games, it really blew me away!! Honestly tho, I really love them all, a forever fan am I!!

I like all Final Fantasy parts but my favorit is 7 maybe cuz it was the firs FF i played n the firs game i played on my PS1.

Hey you didn't put Final Fantasy Tactics/ Advance!! FFTA was the best in my opinion other than that I vote for FF XII.

i must say seven is my absolute favourite incredible story line the materia system beats any other final fantasy battle system i still query weather to play final fantasy seven again or buy a new game

I'm an overall fan of the series, but some of the games I can't deny have been absolute flops. I'd say my favorite WAS FF7, before they decided to milk it with several side stories and a crummy movie that totally butchered the original story. For me, it kinda killed the original experience. I would say these days, my overall favorite is Final Fantasy Tactics. The creators behind it also developed the Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre series, which I'm a real big fan of (at least, the SNES ones). The story is unmistakably similar, complete with similar things such as Zodiac Stones and Zeltennia. Unfortunately, like the Ogre series, FFT I find to be incredibly difficult, so I don't play it often. Of the mainstream series, I'd go with 12, if only for the new battle system, which in my opinion, did the series great justice.

I really liked final fantasy 12. It had a great storyline and had a great mix of characters. The new fighting system was also innovative and impressive.
