To the folks speaking about the mic not working very well, if you have it too close to you when you speak into it or if you speak too loudly, it'll register incorrectly. Speak in a normal talking volume and a comfortable distance from your mouth, and it'll work every time. For some folks who dont speak english as a first language (meaning if you have an accent) that can cause trouble (says so on Brain Age) as well.

I used the mic when I dueled someone on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl once. He sounded pretty pissed because I 6:0 him XD Also, the sound quality of the mics is surprisingly good.

I have only used the microphone in mario cart when you do the balloon battle to blow up a balloon. Really, who would want to stop for a second, search for the microphone hole, and yell/blow at it on a regular basis? Just charging up a balloon was annoying enough, so I can't imagine playing a game that fully utilizes it.

I think I used it while playing Feel The Magic. I seem to recall having to blow into the mike a few times for certain mini games. hehehehSoul Bubbles used the blowing into the microphone as well in the beginning, but the rest of the game didn't use it at all, so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe I still had the option to but was using other controls instead?

I have used the DS's microphone like crazy. I use it with Nitrotracker to record samples of sounds and beats and tones that are used to write my songs. Jam Sessions let's you sing while you play guitar and I have done live performances utilizing this feature. Deep Labyrinth made me blow open doors in some levels. I have also done the homebrew setup of SKYPE on mine and used it as a web phone. works o.k. as long as your wireless connection is great.

Erm, I used it for Phantom Hourglass, Nintendogs, Cook Mama, Brain Age, and some other games that I can't think of right now.

The game Brain Age uses the mike for the "Reading Aloud" exercise. I'm not honestly sure if the exercise really activates my cerebral cortex, as the game claims, but the passages they've chosen are fun to read.
