Killer 7, FF7 was the best final fantasy, snow white and SEVEN dwarves, 007, 7 minutes in heaven, 7-11.damn good point, i never noticed. this has peaked my curiosity.maybe it is a luck type deal, 7 is a lucky number. or maybe everyone in has OCD for 7, maybe it's a fetish and it gets them all hot.

I guess because its big enough to base a large story on but not so big that it just drags on and gets boring. :gay2:

Maybe the game creators chose the number 7 because it has positive connotations connected towards it. May target the buyers subconscious and attract them. Just me tryin to sound smart :gay2:

FF7 was not the best Final Fantasy. That is the speak of a delusional fanboy. One could argue FF7 being one of the worst, above only 10-2. POINTS were deducted for this post by Haibara-Please have a look at the forum rules to find out why your points were deducted.

It goes back to Hebrew Tradition. Check Leviticus/Numbers and you see all kinds of sevens. Also God created Earth in seven days. It all ties together, man.

I guess the game makers consider it the Lucky number. Who knows why? I mean, maybe it provides enough game play to be fun but not too boring? Like who would want to go to find like 15 chaos emeralds?

3 and 4 were really important numbers way back and any combo of those numbers were also important. Since 3+4=7, 7 became a big number also. Now that 7 is considered lucky more and more people put it to use.

Well Nazihunter...That's a lazy excuse. XDThere were 21 virtue rubys to be found in Holy Avenger (a very sucessful comic book series in Brasil) and the series was quite short (40 issues with six special editions) and never boring. The thing is: The creators are too attached to "collecting" itens in those kind of games (emeralds, stars, levels) and not too much for character development (but anyway...who wants to know what fears and worries does sonic or mario have? >.<). I think that's why is easier for them to have a game based on 7 "something".It could be 10, 14, 189...it doesn't matter as long as it is good right? =D

I like the way you think. :weep: I doubt the creators are that clever though. As to whether that would really work is another discussion entirely. Who cares about the number 7 anyway? I certainly don't perceive it as any more attractive than any other number. Most people are probably sick of it being the most common favourite number since a long long time ago. If I made a game, I certainly wouldn't give the number 7 that much credit for getting people to perceive it as a good game that I would use it for that purpose. Common advertising would be a lot more effective.

its because its supposed to be a lucky number, most of the things that are based on seven always become famous or well known, its a good market strategy that you can read up on in http://www.s4.invisi...ee.comknowledge
