Yes, RPG's are truly addictive and very hard to get out of. I don't recall having not played an RPG for more than a week.

I loves me some RPGs. I'm not that big a fan of WoW though. I wish there'd be more MMORPGs that were either free or pay once, however. :) We needs some good ones with quests and stuff :D

Rpgs will always be addicting because they take a long time to complete and the storylines are good.

RPG's are addicting simply for the reason that they always have plenty of goals to work to. Most modern day people find solice in achieving these goals so therefore we play and play and play until we can use that Zodiac Spear, or be able to wipe out that god damn red on top of silver mountain.

I'd say that RPGs are addictive. I don't know what it is, but I can really get absorbed by them. There have been times when I've been playing Elderscrolls III: Morrowind (too poor to get a PC that runs Oblivion :) ) and I've looked over at the clock only to realize that it's 4:30 AM and I need to get ready for school in 30 minutes. I never got into the MMORPG thing, I like single player games more. Either way, they are both addictive.

It really depends on how devoted you are to the game/genre and how much time you have to play it. It can be addicting, yes.

As for me, RPG games are addictive because:-The vast assortment of characters are really great-Each character has its own uniqueness from all other characters that makes it fun to play and use-The great and compelling storyline that most RPG games have is really great-Graphics is, on most RPG games, a real eye-candy-Gameplay is good on RPG games; you may become weak against enemies, depending on the character or you may have the upper hand, depending, again, on the character of you choice-The variety and balance on most RPG games balances the game and at the same time makes it fun to play

I think ANY RPG can be addicting, at least for a while, some you can get really addicted to, and stay addicted to. However others you can be addicted to for only a little while, then stop completely, cold turkey. I know that i sometimes get the urge to play an RPG, and sometimes i just cant repress it.

The real addictive part of rpg's though is that you get new stuff like weapons or shields and you just want to get more and more of those things.
