RPG games does seem addicting. Like making your characters stronger and beating tough enemies.

They are seriously addictive. The first time I got hold of an RPG game, I stuck to it, and every single day I would try to find more RPG-type of games, from Nintendo DS Lite games to a whole bunch of online homemade games.

when i first got into the genre of RPG's (ffvii was my first) heck yea it was very addictive. but then as i got older (to where i am now) i really don't have the patience to sit down and read thru 50-90+ hours of gameplay and taking turns attacking each other. as of now i prefer to pick up the controller and play a game that i can just jump into and stop when i need to.

I believe it would depend on the game and the player, but there is no doubt that with engaging plots and long quests, the time spent on rpg's in one sitting can often be far longer then most other games

depends on the RPG. Some have more action, some have better stories, some have less action and sucky stories. I loved Phantasy Star Online, the gameplay i thought was nice, its a typ eof hack and slash RPG but the story....not so great. Then there's lineage, but many people dont bother worrying about the story, etc. Ragnarok is fun :)! now that i notice...these are all online so... havent really played many offline in a while.
