mmorpgs are addictive and fun because u get to be a whole new person, whatever you want to be, around REAL people. It's kinda like when you leave for college. You can TOTALLY change who you are. :P

What I love about most rpg games is that they are challengeing and you feel like you earnt your levels and rewards when you finally beat the game.

RPGs are TRULY addictive. The characters rock, and when you start the game and check out the game's many graphics, battles/features, you'll want more. So u become an addict to that particular game. BTW I'm somewhat a video game addict.

While MMORPG's are boring, normal rpg's are awesomely addictive.Take guild wars and grandia as examples. They are like reading a book, and when you read a book, you cannot stop.

Yes, RPG games are really addictive. Whenever I start an RPG game, would always be so eager to know the ending of it.

Addictive if you have the patience for them. Most RPG addicts I know could use their own imagination to create something equally as vivid and unique. The difference is of course, that its much more entertaining not to have to imagine all the details as well.

I really can't get into traditional RPGs, but a good tactical RPG can easily get me addicted

Any game can be addicting if you like it so much.I stopped playing RPGs for a couple of months, mainly to give my other games a chance. I was so used to the change of pace action/adventure and stealth games gave me that when I started up on Dragon Quest VIII again it bored me to death. I couldn't do more than one part of the game before I had tears in my eyes. But I guess it's because I was used to hitting my enemies on the spot rather than taking forever on commands.I hope I get over that little issue because I love RPGs. They make up most of my 200+ game collection.
