The elements of group 17 of the periodic table. They are notably all gases at room temperature and pressure and all nonmetals. The halogen series includes F (fluorine), Cl (chlorine), Br (bromine), I (iodine), and in some classifications, At (astatine).

Isn't that a bit of a trick question? Hard Water can hold any number of minerals that change its composition, so there really isn't a single specific answer.
