the battle system for ffx is classic and the only one of its kind in the ff series, its too simple to win a battle tho.. you can practically defeat omega if every one has their overdrive (at final level).... yea.. too simple.. love the story line made me cry when i saw yuna and tidus in love in the macalania forest, ffxii wasnt as bad, the ivalice series was one of my fav places, the battle system was a great knock out concidering its hard >=3, the story line isnt soo bad... overal their pretty close.... but i just have to go with ffxii love hard games >=3

FFX - i played it several times and enjoyed it to the maxFFXII - i tried to play it several times, and never finished the game (maybe i should)FFX wins for me

I have to go with FFX, XII may have been the first one I beat but I got hooked on final fantasy because of X. Can't go against my roots.

Given the choice id choose the game that kept me playing the longest,the game play and storyline of ffxii was complex and to date i still play it,while ffx though fun and entertaining wasn't as good as final fantasy xii.

FFX, the story of FFXII was confusing, but the gameplay was more fun at times. The bosses in XII were better but it had way too much exploration to do and getting the best weapon was harder. I just prefer FFX because of the music and the battle with jecht, amazing

Final Fantasy X kicks XII a-s-s in every way and form. seriously when I got XII I thought after working on it for 4 years they would have made something that was remotely fun but insted I get this game where you can set it so that the game does all the fighting for you. whats the fun in that? Ok I know its not as easy as I make it sound but its still no fun playing a game where more then half the combat is automatic

FFX is better in evrything tHAN FF12. Better gameplay better sounds better story.

I loved FFVII the first time I played it, and finished it 4 times I think. Loved every aspect, characters, awesome music, insanely good twisted story. FFX I liked, but there were downsides. Tidus annoyed me in a way, and as I experiencedthe dubbing thing (maybe it was because it was English, the Japanese version could be better, dunno), I realized how muchI missed text only rpgs. So much just gets lost when you let some voice actor (no offense to voice actors, but I just don'tthink Japanese rpgs are their venue) try to express the emotions of a character you should identify with. Well ok, I did like Auron and Lulu. Sadly there isn't an option to turn the others off 
You also have to try harder to get the feel of it allstory-wise. But yes, a desperate land where everyone can get killed at a moments notice by a huge unstoppable thingwith no hope of survival... Maybe I'll go play it again ^^

ffx is better becuase it has a better story line and the battle system is much better

though FF XII has create cinamatics and Baltheir it's story is a little weak and it looks like its een run through a washer a few too many times so Iwould have ot go with FF X becasue it hasa good storyline nad rememberable characters

FFX is better, story line rox. FFXII i got bore in the middle of the game, throw the disc fed it to my dog.. yes it was a burned dvd.

I LOVEE FFX!! all time favorite game. i loved all the characters! the story was FANTASTERIFFIC!!i liked how it stuck with the oldfashioned ff style. FFXII had no relationshipss!! which is a total bummer.TIDUS&YUNAA

i love ffx because it has great story and the caracters are a way cooler (other than fran) and yuna is the ultimate summoner

i prefer XII because they got rid of the random battle encounters, that pisses me off sooooo much! 
especially when your characters are in really high levels, but you went back to the beginning of the game for something. As for the license deal, that was a little flimsy, if you stayed and leveled up long enough you could get all the licenses, but not know anything
