I like diamond because the cover looks cooler, the exclusives i think looker cooler, and Dialga I think is much stronger than that of Palkia. Steel/Dragon vs. Water/Dragon come on no chance Dialga would win.
haha yea i so agree with you godzilla!
Actually, although type may matter, actual stats are probably more important. Sorry to burn your Dialga Temples down, but Palkia is better. How, you say? TYPE ISN'T EVERYTHING. So...i'm asking all of you above here, WHY IS DIALGA BETTER. Palkia can use any of its fighting moves, specifically aura sphere, and can probably KO Dialga in 2 hits. But Dialga on the other hand, would only have Roar of Time as it's awesome power and dragon type, against palkia. According to PsyPokes, maxxed stats of both pokemon, regular nature, 1 Roar of Time will not kill Palkia. Plus, Dialga would still need to use another term to recharge. So in this time frame, Palkia gets 2 hits, probably KOing Dialga. But in addition, Dialga has lowe(er) spdef, and since aura sphere is a sp. atk, Dialga ranks lower again. And MOREOVER, Palkia would actually be able to get 3 hits, since it has more speed than Dialga, and would go first each round. So Dialga's theoretically best attack, Roar of Time, would be it's own downfall. The only way to win is to be a stall-er and not a sweeper. Stall+Toxic would beat Palkia...unless Palkia did the same.But...Dialga looks a way cooler than Palkia....sidenote....I always get the less popular version of each Pokemon generation (in this case Pearl) on the theory that I'll be in a better position to trade because my game's exclusive poke will be rarer than their equivalents. But since I don't really know anyone else who plays the game, I never get to trade in any case, so my whole theory is pointless! On the other hand, I just finished playing through Emerald with a Mightyena by my side throughout the game, and I don't know if I could give him up going into Gen IV. So maybe I'll have to go with Diamond in the end.Oh, and Steel/Dragon does seem a lot better than Water/Dragon. Steel compensates for a Dragon's weakness to its own type -- but Water only makes Dragon more vulnerable. For a better balance of resistances, they should have gone with Steel/Dragon and Ice/Dragon.
