I would choose pearl because pearl has a better variety of pokemon types than diamond (for the exclusives)

Pokemon Diamond is a lot better because the exclusive pokemon are a lot stronger.

i would have to say diamond since i've seen a level 55 tyrranitar beat the heck out of a level 100 groudon and a level 100 kyogre in one versus battle, cool battle that was and no cheats used just trading so one had both the groudon and kyogre.

i prefer the pearl...well because of salamence, but i like the diamond because of tyranitar. they should switch for some...but yea, pear in my opinion.

I like Pokemon Diamond and i preffer it. But even i admit that Pearl has got some good Pokemon and i only reffer to Bagon, but it can be traded.Roar of time+Blue+Pokemon= Pokemon Diamondthat is my math to it

Diamond and Dialga in an opinion are better but thats not good reason. Id say that Dialga is more popluar to some in my city. In the wal mart and gamestop Diamond had only 1-3 copies left today. Pearl had 6-9 left. Im not saying Diamond is better to everyone just some. Not to mention that Diamond has Larvitar, Mightyena, Scyther, Aron, Cranidos and many others but PEarl also has some good exclusives

Personally I would choose Pokemon Diamond handsdown because of its exclusive pokemon. Although they are both basically the same game, Diamond is more of a Starter whereas Pearl is for more of the experienced players because of the limited range of Pokemon found in the game. Diamond has more (IMO) Pokemon to create a good balanced team out of the exclusives. Pearl sadly has only 1 exclusive Pokemon I actually like (Salemance). But I digress.... I go for Pokemon Diamond. Sorry didn't mean to rant.

I'd have to go with diamond, scizor is deffinatly one of my fav. no matter how old he gets, and some of the other pokemon, to me, are better than those on pearl.

It's a hard choice, but I would have to say Pearl. There are more exclusives, and thought the legendary pokemon looks a bit girly, I think the game has stronger exclusives then Diamond.

It's all opinion. I have Diamond, because... I felt like it. I think Pearl has a better set of Pokemon, because I'd choose a Misdreaveus over a Murkrow any day. Also, I prefer Palkia over Dialga, because Palkia has only one weaksness, and is probably faster than Dialga, considering it's a steel type. Any other Pokemon differences between the games probably aren't worth debating over which is better because they aren't good enough to use anyway.

I prefer Diamond because the exclusives are Pokémons I like a lot, namely Kecleon, Tyranitar, Scyther/Scyzor, Aggron(love him)... And some others I can't remember right now. Also, I think Diamond's legendary is cooler(Palkia's to... eh.... pinky for my tastes).

Id perfer exclusivess in diamond due to tyranitar. It has my fav double battle pokemon.
actually, dialga's base sp.att is bout 30 more than palkia's. Hell yea it is rlly worth it. Transfered my kyogre to diamond and it powns in metagame. But it suks since u can only transfer 6 pokemon a day, so if u try to steal poke from sum1 else's game, make sure to hav it for a long time.Has anyone tried the GBA slot 2 transfer of pokemon? Is it worth it?
yea i agree. palkia also goes in a great double battle combo with a supportive kyogre. palkia uses draco meteor and kyogre's surf covers it after. i prefer diamond... the base stats of the pokemon exclusive to diamond seem to be higher overall to the pearl pokemon plus some of pokemon have many weaknesses on pearl.... and i like blue over pink
