Final Fantasy almost always has completely different stories and characters. There's hardly any direct correlation with any aside from Dirge of Cerberus and FFVII, and Final Fantasy X-2 with FFX. That's the reason it can successfully continue the way it does. It has a bunch of similarities like spells, things like airships and chocobos, monsters.. but other than that..KH however is directly intertwined with everything, so it can't keep going the same.
Do you think Kindom Hearts should be a long series like Final Fantasy

i dont think it should. i played the 1st kingdom hearts game and it was pretty fun, but when i played the second game it just got boring

yes I think so because I love Kingdom Hearts.if they run out of ideas and give out the very last one,then I will be heart broken.(get it?"heart"broken!)

I don't think it should be a long series too also. It's not like FF in which in every series, a different set of characters, a different set of world and a different set of story.

I'd have to say that I don't wont sequel after sequel after sequel...Personaly, I wouldn't mind a few different types, as in the games for Sora's story(KH + KHII), and one for Riku's since the start of Kingdom Hearts 1. And then, as happens in 358/2 Days, what happens to Roxas and Organisation XIII. Things like that.

heck yes kingdom hearts should be a long series! there's so much potential in the union that it could very easily go on for a while in my opinion.

There are planing to have 5 KH games out in the next 3 years. SO i am sure KH will be a big series like Final fantasy.

No, no, no. I really don't like KH as much as FF.Frankly, it's not as good of a series. I never even found them to be much fun.

I doubt it because Final Fantasy is like Kingdom Hearts. Two of the same genre lasting that long is rare, and Final Fantasy is better.

It wouldn't work if it wasThe Final Fantasy series as a whole (not counting compilations and spin offs and the few sequals that are out there) is a series in name and theme only. Most of the games in the series aren't related at all other then by who made them and how they work for the most part.The Kingdom Hearts series has a story to tell that lasts longer then one game. And I find it hard to beleive that the story of Sora and pals could be streched out over 10 plus games...

Ummmm...I don't think the story line can get to long...I love the game, but it's not like FF. FF has different story in each game, so it can get really long, but KH has a real story in it.

being made by square enix i doubt that will ever end. i mean the final fantasy series is still going. most likely the kingdom hearts will go the same way

Ok, first of all, unlike Final Fantasy, each KH game have a continuous plot. Each FF game, on the other hand, have a plot of their own. So, it is really hard to compare them like this. However, if Squeenix was to drag out the KH plot, they would eventually fail or repeat the plot over and over, because the plot of any game is finite. That is why FF is still selling today. If FF had a continuous plot, it would probably end around 5 or 6, because the producer would just run out of ideas. Look at Megaman and Megaman Zero. Megaman Zero end with 5, because you can't possibly milk anymore story out of it. Megaman, on the other hand, had the same story, same hero, same villain, same style. It is exactly the same game only with different bosses. So, yeah, If KH was a long series, it would suck really bad after 5 or 6.

Yeah, but now they're gonna drive it into the ground by making a bunch of games that are going backwards in the story, and possibly (no proof) in the future. I don't think it should go any longer. IMO, these are the only KH games that should be made:-Kingdom Hearts-Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories-Kingdom Hearts 2-Kingdom Hearts 358/2 DaysKingdom Hearts because that was the first one and where it all starts, of course.CoM because even though the next game is called "Kingdom Hearts 2", CoM IS the direct sequel to the first game.KH 2... well, it just had to tie up the loose ends from CoM.The only reason I added the last one is because that game will be focused around Roxas, who is a somewhat important character story wise. I really couldn't get into Kingdom Hearts... The environments were cramped and bland. The combat was sub-par. The disney ties left me unfufilled. i wanted to love it too...
