I took the more successfull games of the series, in each console (in my opinion). I think that the more difficult is the original Zelda for NES. In this game, we don't have the help of full world vision, fairies, others NPC's...Opinions?

Hrm, I'm going to vote for Windwaker just because the part where you have to search for all those shards is so annoying and boring. But, yeah, I see your point on the original one and that's very true as well.

Don't forget that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder ...

Ocarina, because it is like this whole new 3D system, and it just felt shakey when I first played it, and to this day it still feels shakey... hell, Twilight Princess still feels shakey (Stuck in lava dungeon, stupid controls... Did you REALLY think I wanted to jump into the lava?!)But overall, Ocarina was the hardest because of the controlls.

Ditto.Searching each island was just brutal. Not to mention that pit with like 50 levels in it...Also I found the dungeons to be harder than the previous games...

Majora's mask defiantly. jsut collecting all the masks and all within three days, ok, so you could time travel but that's such a touchy subject, that's it's best avoided. but once i got all the masks (after two years!!) i got up to the moon, and then tried to fight majora. I got royaly owned. then, i got the fearce dettiys mask. my god, that made it easer. but a little bit too easy. also, it's a bit of a non-cannon came, in the fact that it takes place as an alternate to ocarina. but, it's the hardest just becasue of majora's final battle, not including the mask collection. if you included the masks, it would be one of the hardest games to date!

Twilight Princess. Not so much because it's a difficult game, but because it took some time to master the Wii oriented controls. That's probably just me though...

Correct! After the easy Fire Temple... it's hard to try this true puzzle temple :( (I'm stuck in it right now! :P (playing it in 1964 Emu :( )). Besides, I don't understand: why WATER STAGES in MANY GAMES are the more difficults? XD

Personally, I don't know...While no Zelda game is necessarily easy, there were only three that stood out in my mind as "hard"The first quite obviously being the first game, it was annoying to find the dungeons on your own, and if you managed to find a few out of order, you could easily die, luckily most cannot be found without certain items.Second on the list is the second game, and this is the one I find to be the hardest, while it did have RPG elements, even at level 8 of everything you can get killed in just a few hits, it requires more skill in blocking and dodging than any other of the series. Finally, I would have to say Majora's Mask...the whole idea is different in that you have 3 days in which you play over and over, you don't start as Link (in his normal form) and you have to switch quickly between playing styles. and it has (in my opinion) the most annoying boss of the series. I can't remember it's name exactly, but it was the third boss (the Fish in the ocean temple).

Majora´s mask. I never caught on to the time thing, and Tamua, you´re not the only one that cowers at the side of enormous fish.

All the zelda games are hard in their own... unique way :P . But I chose twilight princess because out of all the zelda games I've played, that has the most and the most confusing or just plain hard quests.

I'd have to say The Legend of Zelda (NES) just for the frustration it's caused me over the years. I have honestly never finished that game. Every time I'd start it, the cartridge would either mess up or, in the case of a rom, I'd never have the time to finish it all.

I am completely surprised that no one has mentioned Zelda II: Adventure of Link.No Zelda game has been difficult since that game. The enemies were difficult, earning experience points was a pain, and saving and finding out your hard-earned exp. had gone back to zero was devastating.Iron Knuckles were incredibly defensive and quick attackers. The Grand Palace still gives me nightmares.

yeah , majora was probably the best, but it was so random, the whole alice in wonderland thing didn't really work too well, needed more dungeons, BUT you could actually go back and fight the bosses which wins in my book

Probably either A Link To The Past (NES) or Majora's Mask (N64), because with Nintendo games they were harder, you didn't have help, and you just had to go with it by the seat of your pants (so to speak haha), and Majora's Mask had a time limit.
