chrono trigger was sorta revolutionary in part because "random battles" were totally avoidable and you could see all the monsters roaming around. if you haven't seen the 12 or so endings you should definitely play through again.. but i wouldn't suggest the ps1 version. the movies by akira toriyama (dragonball artist) are bad ass and all, but there are constant load screens and wait times on everything. what i think you should do is watch the movie clips on youtube and play the loading time free version of the game on the zsnes emulator.

i also played chrono cross and both are incredible (but i prefer chrono trigger)the non-random battles are the best

Chrono Trigger was one of the best games I know. I don't exactly know why but it was awesome. The battle system was cool.

Chrono Trigger is still a great game with a storyline that you can really get into. The only downside in the Playstation version is the delayed loading of a battle sequence which can get a little annoying.

This was one of the first games I ever beat. A beautiful, exciting fun game, and it's sequel is just as good.

The best RPG of its kind in that part of generation. The combat system is what made it stick out from the rest of the snes games.

DS version is good. Yu can get lost sometimes like any old rpg but it is very fun.

Finished the PS version long time ago, looking forward for the DS version. Can't wait to get the memories back =)
