the best Rpg it had a lot of perspectives the characters each had their own story and that helped them gain cool items it didn't really leave a lot of questions at the end that wouldn't later get answered in a different game, the characters started out in terms of stats well enough and the bosses required startegy to make you think, I loved it.

I was a big fan, although it's not my favorite game of all time as it is for many, I can see why it would be, for sure.

...Chrono Cross is like an unrelated sequel to it (confusing huh?)...

You know Schala...right? Keep her in mind when playing Chrono Cross.I LOVE Chrono Trigger. [I played it with the CTRetranslation patch, it's so much better XD] It is an astounding game that I place in my utmost recommendation. It is 16 bits of bliss, and since it is out on the DS, you have no excuse to leave this game unplayed. It has a creative, well-written, fast-paced storyline, interesting characters (ranging from a robot to a Neanderthal woman), an AMAZING soundtrack (The Oneups covered it XD), dynamic environments (only when you do the sidequests, though), 10+ endings, and a great battle engine; no random encounters--when you see the mofos on the screen, you take your weapon and rock outChrono Trigger also had the most disturbing Game Over screen I've ever seen in a video game. When Lavos "wins," the world gets wrecked and the words "But...the future refused to change." show up. I find that moment haunting, and I'm still freaked out by it. It's intriguing how video games project emotions onto the playersI don't understand what's so special about Schala, aside from the fact that she has a beautiful theme song and protested against that c#%t queen, which was awesome

I have to say that out of all rpgs ever made, Chrono Trigger is definately in my top 3. It had such a memorable soundtrack and unique characters. Also having multiple endings is always a bonus :gs:

I love Chrono Trigger oh so much. The only thing about the PS port is that it slows when you enter battles, though that obviously has nothing to do with the game itself.

Pros: Two extras endings and some nice bonus features.Cons:The loading times when you go into your status screen often annoyed me and the sound effects sounded a just a bit off, and I never understood why they would show an animated cutscene, then show the same exact cutscene again but the Super Nintendo version. Basically you were watching some arts of the games twice in a row.So all things considered I like the Super Nintendo version better. Those 3 seconds of loading every time you switch screens really adds up.

For the Snes, I would say its the best RPG yet done. Final Fantasy 13 looks awesome thoughChrono Trigger is hot stuff. There is no other character as Magus he is the best

Crono Trigger is a great game, though its graphics were not the best for it's time, the game still had a good concept... and the most different endings I've ever seen in a game.

I used to own Chrono Trigger(I honestly have no clue what happened to it...), and it was a great game! The story was a little confusing... since you could kinda skip some major parts, but over all it was a good game for it's time. Square Soft(Enix) games have always been good in my opinion.
