Billgates and his 60 billion dollar company cant seem to get the greed out of there donkey. Xbox Live Costing over 60 bucks for a full year isnt bad if u think about it, but when you have to pay extra money for dowloads and updates..... YOUVE GONE TO FAR.buying microsoft points should BE DEMOLISHED!!!!!!! its just how i feel.....

I don;t mind paying $60 a year for xbox live gold. I think there greedy for wanting more money for people to buy points. They should of put like everytime you get a Achievements you get like 50-100 points. Your not the only one who feels that way.

You should earn points for achievements, so that you could buy the Arcade games and wallpapers and such. Demos costing money is okay.

Microsoft points are actually a good idea. Besides they aren't really that expensive.... I can get 1600 for about $2 at this website.Gaming LagoonJust scroll down to register and start filling out forms. On the ones that require a credit card you can just use a Visa gift card :o

I am in favor of the microsoft points. Xbox is not just going to hand out all of their arcade games for free and the points are a convienient way for them to sell these and other content on the marketplace. I think they are a good idea.

They would stop putting xbox arcade games on if it was free, and I read that Microsoft still hasent made a profit on xbox or the xbox 360.

Your rigth, the lost about 150 - 200 dollars per unit sold (due to the cost of buying th parts, paying the people to put them together and what not) I personally think the XBL Point system isent too bad, since about half the money goes right back to the developers of the games (Most of the time) and the rest goes into Micro$ofts profit margin, you really should think about how this would motivate people to give there games more content.

I agree, they should make the points you buy for Demos or Live arcade gamesand then you should get seperate points from earning achievements to get theme packs etc.

It isn't bad, but there should be an alternative to buying them (Gamerscore, Tournaments)

Like I said earlier, there are tons of demos on xbox live, I don't think they should ALL be free. Microsoft have to earn some money from this. The arcade games shouldn't cost money though, that's just silly in my opinion. If anyone wants them they can easily get them on their computer.

C'mon be serious i think the points should stay. Getting microsoft points 4 acheivements is like getting money for playing a game. Be alot of the stuff is over priced...

It depends what you want. Things like shivering isles, which is a game in its own right, and perhaps arcade games too, should stay as they are, whrere you have to pay for them, but things like gamer pictures and themes are all too pricey. Hardly anyone is willing to pay money for what is essentially a desktop background.

Why in the world would anyone pay to play a demo? That's probably the stupidest thing I've heard today. Demos are available so people can decide whether or not they want to go out and buy the actual game. The arcade games give you gamerscore. Also, people do work on them so you're able to play them on the XBOX 360. So, essentially, you're saying those people should just get nothing? I think it should stay the way it is. Personally, I don't see the point in paying for gamer pics, or themes. There is a simple solution...Don't buy them. That's why they charge people, because they buy it. Simple as that.

I AGREE 100%!!!!Why pay about 10 $ for a map for a game when it should just come with the game in the first place (10 bucks dont sound like much but it adds up since theres millions of Live players including myself)Microsoft brings in millions from Live players alone and the new microsoft point thing for the 360 (which i also have) is just stupid, its about 5-8 bucks for 500 points and theres usualy nothing good to buy in the marketplace, no more from a few new weapons vehicles maps etc etc.-Tony-

I say its a good idea, but i dont agree with the prices for items on there. I beleive it would be more appealing if prices were lower.

in a way i dont mind buying Microsoft but their charging more than what your getting... 1600 points for $20? 2000 points for $25? i just dont like the prices their charging like 5 bucks more than what your getting... if they had it like 2000points for 20 dollars then thats fine i dont mind paying... like the wii they have the virtual consoles points they only charge 2000 points for 20...

Honestly I don't have a problem with Microsoft Points. Besides the Xbox company is a separate entity from its PC counterpart. the Windows and PC Application side of the company has nothing to do with the XBOX 360 or it live online community. What I think that Xbox should do is get rid of Subscription based Live. Offer the online experience for free, and charge a 0.25$ more for every 100 points. Once people are online they will buy stuff.

Sure I'd like it to be free, but it costs money for a reason. If they were all free, then no one would make anything for Xbox Live.
