I don't mind buying Microsoft points as they are very cheap. As for paying for demos, in England all Xbox 360 demos are free to download <3

Getting rid of microsoft points would be stupid. I mean do you really expect to get XBLA games which devleopers made and other content for free? Though some stuff is availble for free through advertisments and such but people need to be paid. Do you really expect to be able to download full movies and shows for free when you have to pay for them anywhere else?

in a way i dont mind buying Microsoft but their charging more than what your getting... 1600 points for $20? 2000 points for $25? i just dont like the prices their charging like 5 bucks more than what your getting... if they had it like 2000points for 20 dollars then thats fine i dont mind paying... like the wii they have the virtual consoles points they only charge 2000 points for 20...

no because your thinking that 100 points is equivilent to a dollar when its not. Its like money exchange in other countries when you go to germany and you exchange your $5 for the equivilent in german money its not like your going to get another bill that says 5 on it but with different patterns on the bill. Your going to get like 20 euros or something like that.

I think they should lower some of the prices and put out a few more free games in the arcade aside from that i think they're fine.

I don't have a problem with paying for points when what I'm downloading is substantial content. And by that I mean game DLC, or movies and videos. I think its pretty weak that they charge for themes and gamer pics. I mean really, are those actually worth selling?

The point conversion rate is stupid. Make one point cost one cent like Nintendo does with Wii Points. Then I would like them more.

This is why I dislike comments like this. Map making, content downloads obviously cost money! It takes a lot of programmers out there to make the games have more content! paying a measly 800 points wont make you poor or have problems!

I think Microsoft Points are okay , but when it comes to the ultimate classics like street fighter and stuff I think those games should be for free. Because really CapCom isn't in business anymore these days so Microsoft is just taking money for free stuff

I personally am tossed up here, on one hand i hate how much each point is and at times you think you really want something then after playing it its sucks. on the other hand if there werent any points companies probably would stop putting out good downloadables.

I agree that they should keep the points in place to pay for high server costs and for all their development teams that bring you the games you love

Billgates and his 60 billion dollar company cant seem to get the greed out of there donkey. Xbox Live Costing over 60 bucks for a full year isnt bad if u think about it, but when you have to pay extra money for dowloads and updates..... YOUVE GONE TO FAR.buying microsoft points should BE DEMOLISHED!!!!!!! its just how i feel.....

i totally agree with you, but we are living in a materialistic worl these days. Microsoft wants every penny they can get and if people are willing to buy microsoft points just to get downlaods, why not? But then again Bill Gates does own enough money to have his own country...

the weird thing is over here a year of xbox live(w/extra month) is only $50I really DESPISE microsoft points, i dont really hate it but because:-they don't give u a very detailed explanation of what you are buying like for themes "download this theme" .....-no refunds! wtf? if u buy the wrong thing or mess up in your gamertag change shouldn't you be able to get a refund or atleast an edit?-amount of ms points. if you have 30 ms points you are cursed with it forever.... -okay 20 bucks for something that can get you 2 things? like maps???? (800 legendary, 800 Mythic)more coming your way microsoft.

I heard from my friend that achievements on brand new games, like the day or so it comes out, can give microsoft points along with gamerpoints. I'm not sure if it's true or not, I never really buy brand-brand new games for the Xbox360. I think microsoft points should be cheaper, wii points are 2000 for 20.00 where xbox is only 1600 for 20.00

Listen, each console has DLC whether you like it or not. Wii has WiiPoints or something like that(I don't care), Microsoft has their points, but Sony offers their DLC for an actual amount, no conversion needed. So even if they get rid of MS Points, the alternative is just straight up money. I did hear a rumor that MS will be getting rid of the Points system. I don't know how this will work with their 1 Vs 100 deal they'll have goin' on. Oh and to Karuma, Legendary is only 600 BTW.
