I used to play Blaster Master for HOURS...it was brutal since you couldn't save it or get a password so I would play it for hours and hours and then just die in the end...I never was able to beat it until years later when I was able to use an emulator and use save state. Also, I played Mike Tyson's Punch Out over and over if only because it took me years to finally beat Tyson. I still have the password to fight Tyson burned into my memory. Two player it would have to be Ice Hockey or Blades of Steel...me and my brother just went at it in those games.Stevo

Dragon Warrior 2. It took me god knows how many hours to finish. Luckily it was summer at the time and I had nothing else to do.

Probably FaxanaduLol, the hours I spent on that game...It was so annoying when you'd accidentally copy the mantra down wrong (hey, all it would take was ONE wrong character) and you'd have to start all over again T_T" or at least from the last mantra you had.

Super Mario Bros. It saved the video game market, and it saved me from hours of boredom.

Kid Icarus. It was harder than Metroid, though more linear. I tried playing it recently and I just can't stick with it 'cause I can't remember what's going to happen or how much further I have to go.@DavePrush: Super Metroid is SNES.
