I would say Super Mario 3 and Metroid. For both games I would invest hours at a time playing them just to turn them off without jotting down the password or anything. Also Zelda I would always forget to hold reset and lose my data.

Street Fighter 2012 took up most of my time and of course all the Mario Bros. games.

It was without a doubt defender of the crown, i LOVED this game, but never managed, as a kid to win this game. Also Super mario bros 3, one of the best games ever!Under emulators, i spent lesser time than in front of my console: propably because i cheated with saves everywhere

actually, i have only ever played one NES game for about 3 minutes: Kid Icarus. I thank DGEmu for supplying the arcade. So the most time I have ever drained into a NES game is 3 minutes? >=)

Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

Of anything, it'd probably be the original Creatures game for the PC, or any of the Sims games (also PC versions). Of just Nintendo? Either Mario 3 or Mega Man 3.

The NES was slightly after my time but I still play the games as ROMs. The game I've played the most on the emulator is probably Megaman 2. That game is awesome.

While growing up, it definitely had to be all three of the original Mario games, as well as Mega Man II, III, and V.

Only counting a real NES, probably SMB3, with SMB, Life Force, and the first LoZ in a close second.Easily ~35% of my time with SMB3 was wrecking it with a Game Genie. How does glitching a game become so fun?

Playing Super Mario Bros. 3 and 2. I personally think that this game has a lot of replay value. It also has my taste of attempting to beat the game without losing a live or getting a game over.

Definately smb 1. Even after dust made the game glitch into a rom hack I still tried playing it.
