I think no game can compared to FF except Suikoden series ( especially the second ) and the wild arms series ( esp. the first )A game that had 108 hero. B) and a game that had an innovative special attack ( bazooka + sword style ) cool.

Lunar the silver star story and lunar eternal blue is the best RPG with it's animeic movie story. This is the only RPG or maybe game with truly majestic cut scene animation that should be made into a movie. The professional english dubbing wasn't just decent but actually made the game even grander.Oh wait, I forgot about the gameplay. It's pure old school RPG of different characters using also MP to use their own unique skills and items that restore mp and hp. So what's there to like about it? It's the challenge. Every boss fight is very hard and it gets even harder farther into the game. No skill or magic that will instantly reduce the enemies hp to half. It's pure strategic use of the defend button or when to defend and attack. The battle part is almost like star ocean where your characters that uses melee weapons must move towards the enemy to attack and the same goes with them. This has a hit on the strategy of the game because you must think your every move and place that the enemy will likely strike.
