If they WERE to remake FF VII, I think it should be a DS release. The cartridge could easily hold the game considering modern compression, and it'd give them a chance to complete all the materia and other material that never made it into the PS1 release due to time constraints (I doubt I'm the only person who was ticked off at the entire lack of Air magick for characters.) However, as far as remakes from the ground up? How about Crystalis? There was that really crappy GBC port, but that game could be, like, totally awesome in a fully remade version. I mean, they remade Rygar, they might as well pick a game people will remember. Then again, company matters as well when it comes to these things: we know that Square's kinda on a remake craze at the moment, so a new version of CT or FF VII is a lot more likely.Or, how about reviving an interesting idea from the past? Why not get someone to relicense the Swordquest series? That competition was an awesome idea back in the '80s, and would be a lot more effective now. If you don't know what I'm talkin' about, you should really look it up- never before or since has a sword been given out as a prize for beating a game. Well, a non-digital one, anyways.
