i reckon that they are just look at the lord of the rings games i admit the first two were a little weak but the multi play in the last was great, harry potter was pretty good also but not my stlye. i reckon games based on movies are better as they have a better story line...... what are your thoughts?

its not always like that because some games like tekken and other stuffs which arent based from movies are actually better. its just a coincidence that games based on movies should be good to advertise the like.

games based on movies are mostly terrible the graphics are so and so and most of the time the creators don't have enough time to make the game good enough

I've only played the first Harry Potter and thought it was poor! I'm waiting for the fifth one hoping it'll be better. And yeah I think that games based on movies are good BUT not games based on movies that are based on books, like Harry Potter, as I find myself getting ticked off when they miss out the important parts.

Spiderman 2 was the only purely good one to me. And the real exception is Riddick where the movie sucked but the game prequel was pure bliss. Where anime games where creativity in authenticity (like Budokai's Dragon Rush and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's Stand system) can make the game good, most movie games suck because they are too close to the film.

I've yet to play a video game based on a movie (or tv show) that was worth my time . . . EXCEPT the old Willow game on the NES.

Games based on movies suck balls. They have shitty gameplay. They might have the movie's name on it, but it doesnt mean its good just because it follows a story you liked from the movie. There are so many games not based on movies (God of War, shadow of the colossus, socom, TDU...) that are much better than shitty movie games.

GOD no. They're almost ALWAYS a hell of a lot worse than other games. Developers just don't take the time to code anythin good because they know the license will sell it for them.

games based on movies never are that good.... at least to games not based on movies, I did like the second harry potter game (i usually don't play childrens games but its actually pretty fun) which I think was based more on the the movie (which, I know, is an adaption of the book)

Not always, for example FF12 is the best PS2 rpg game and it hasn't yet had a movie.

I really dislike games based off of movies because you already know the whole storyline and/or the storyline is changed and it is dissapointing.

The movie games I have played are cool, great story, but they match the movie peice by piece what is so cool about that not like you dont know whats coming next, I think thats the only draw back to movie games. If the made a completly different story and thought it out with new elements not seeing in the movies it might be the single great game ever lol
