If you have money to spare, go for the 2gb memory stick or more better, the 4gb memory. If you have loads of money to spend, go for the 8gb(which has a capacity of more than 2-3 games and even with 5 games, you'll have a lot of space for pics and songs). But stick with the 4gb. You can put up to 3 really top-heavy games and still have a lot of room for songs and stuff.

I just bought my PSP, and was wondering what is a practical size memory stick I should buy for saving my game and data. Of course I know the bigger the better. But memory stick is kind of expensive, and want to hear some of your expert opinion before I make the purchase. I would like to be able to put 2-3 games in it, and still have room to put around 50 songs and 50 pictures. Any recommendation?

depends whats going on it, music vedios getta high one, just games then a mid one do not buy any thing under 1 gig they suck

If you're going to put anything other than game saves on the stick, you should go with the biggest one you can afford. You'll be glad you did later.

I have 1 gb, but I am sure a 2gb is the minimum is you do not want to purchase a new memory card all the time since 1 gb uses up fast. If you can afford it, go for the 4 or 8gb. That way you save money by not purchasing new memory cards and save you time.

id buy the 4GB, it gives you more then enough room for everything but it also dose not cost you an arm and a leg to buy it.

If your going to put isos on that PSP then you'll definately need as much as you can get. but if you're just going to use to save games 2 gbs is more than enough.

If you're gonna put a ton of songs and pics and games, I recommend a 4gig, if you have a camera, you can use the card there as well. This is a little off topic, but I have a 4gig for my flashcard, and I still have a lot of space. It's better to have a bigger card so you always can put more.

When in doubt it is really best to have too much than too little. I have a four gig and it makes my life easier i don't have to worry about how much room i have

I think about 8gb is fine, considering the fact that the good games take up more space, so an 8gb memory stick should allow you to hold more good games

I have a 16GB, but even I know that's overkill. What with the low prices on ebay these days, I bought that 16GB card for the same price my local game store would have sold me a 4GB card for. It depends on where you buy from. Shop around, you'll be surprised how cheap some things can be on the internet. But for practical purposes, 8GB if you want to store those large games, music and video, but 4GB for regular use is fine. You'll definantely want more than 1GB as some games alone are over 1GB in size.

4GB or 8Gb would be preferable. If really, you only listen to music without concerning yourself with videos, buy the 4GB, if it's the other way around, buy the 8GB. They vary around 80$ though.

Get the biggest one you can afford. Wait around for deals too. I run 2 16Gb sticks now. Got a deal on one from a guy on craigslist and I think the other was sent as a mistake from an online store. (Ordered an 8 and the price dropped...) I use one for all my backed up games and one strictly for movies so I don't have to worry about where is the game save for this game or that game. The movie stick is great with my slim since I can plug it into most TVs when traveling and have movies wherever I go.My $0.02,-C

If you're going to mod your PSP, I'd reccomend getting 4GB. If you're only using it for games and no music or anything, I think you'll do fine with a 2gb stick. I guess 4gb for music would be good too. Keep in mind though, the sticks get pricey, my 4gb ran me about $40CDN.

It all depends on what games you're gonna put on it. Such as for me I have about 4 games, 15 songs and around 5 pictures all on my 2GB memstick and i still have 390MB left. It's because the CSOs are under 300MB, so if their quite small games a 2GB is a good way to go with the nice cheap price and sufficient amount of space but you could go with a 4GB just to be safe and if you ever want to put more games on it.
