well,i think that the main reasons are:-its a very addictive RPG,you start to play it and you dont stop till you finish it-The characters are adorable...Or at least interesting-Japanese people are weird.

i would have to say bcause of the pokemon themselves they are so good looking and amaze us with the power and awe. the tv shows and games had something to do with it too i guess. who wouldn't want to be that little runt who befriend this incredible creature that is almost realistic enough and set out into an adventure

they have a good story and a good adventuralso the pkmnsand graphicscoz... pokemon is fun to play & it can be very addictive... even though it dosen't have a storyline....

The whole idea of pokemon is just insanely good. Having a pet that can battle and have special abilities. It's kinda like one day your dog can breathe fire and it obeys your every command. How nice is that?

Some might say that the morality of pokemon isn't the best - you catch wild creatures, attack creatures that other people have caught, and take their money when they are vulnerable...am I the only one who finds that slightly strange?The whole idea of pokemon is just insanely good. Having a pet that can battle and have special abilities. It's kinda like one day your dog can breathe fire and it obeys your every command. How nice is that?

i think pokemon is one of the biggest roms downloaded for reasons:1.People watch the show and get interested, they also may not want to buy the game.2.People like it and want to try it on PC/Laptop3.Many people like RPG'S and Pokemon being one of them, it's obviously popular

erm...probably because it has good graphic/resolutions in the game...and the story line was not too bad...and u can CATCH A LOTS OF POKEMON...^^

Well, the series is pretty good, (well, most of it at least), and the games kick donkey! I mean, they've been around forever, the gameplay has evolved even more than the pokemon themselves, and there IS a storyline in the game, even if it is not a very advanced one, exept in the Ruby and Sapphire games.

Well.... You can choose yourself favorite pokemon and you have to train them. That is what I think...

I can't understand! pokemon Blue and Red were came at first and then Yellow, Silver, Gold, Grystal,Ruby Sapphire, Emerald and now the newest versions Pearl and Diamond! What is gonna be next?And Now comes pokemon Battle Revolution! I wonder is that game good as pokemon colosseum was?When that new NDS Pokemon game comes I want that all pokemons will be in that one game! I will be waiting

I'm a high school student playing Pokemon. Yep, I'm deeply ashamed of it, but something about the game makes me exuberant just the same. <3Most students stop playing pokemon once they leave middle school. There's a reason why the text in the Japanese version is only written in kana.

Even though the additional pokemon annoy me, I'm always drawn to the games because they offer a good balance of RPG, action and adventure, with humour and imagination.

I'm now study in senior high school and I still like the game. Like the way it offer us the adventure. The graphic and sound are just better each time a new version is released.

I don't understand the popularity of Pokemon myself.First of all, the whole purpose of the game is to capture cartoon animals and make them attack other cartoon animals until they faint. Has anyone seriously considered how annoying trainer battles are? You select one attack (out of four) and then select any other move over, and over, and over again until the other guy runs out of Pokemon. After suffering through the pixelated graphics in the GBA RPGs, and while listening to hours of the most excruciating MIDI music in the world, training Pokemon can drive a gamer downright insane.And then you realize just how long it takes to level up your Pokemon once they reach lvl. 55 or so. Using the same move five hundred times on wild rattata doesn't sound like much fun. (And sometimes you encounter wild Pokemon that poison or paralyze you during battle, requiring you to visit the Pokemon center again and again...)Of course, I'm addicted to Pokemon myself, so I probably shouldn't be talking. I hate the game, yet I can't stop playing because I hate giving up on any game. It's like a downward spiral.Anyway, if Pokemon games on GBA were anything like Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii (which kicks donkey), I'd never hesitate to play them on a regular basis. What really annoys me about the Pokemon RPG games is that the graphics are horrible and tend to tire you pretty quickly.

im not gonna lie i still like pokemon, i dont get to play it any more but when i was kid i was really into the game and cartoon. Iwasnt a game freak at skool, but i still enjoyed it tho. Its a great RPG, u got to have a good strategy to do well...when i got busten at skool i was like 'wait im stoppin crime team rocket cant succeed' the class was lovin it.. And in georgraphy i answerd this 'whats the largest plataue?' with 'Indigo plataue'
