I love AOE because you can make your own scenario, haha. Yes. Very fun game.

AOC was the best. Did anyone use to play online deathmatch Rooms 1,2 or 3 
. AOE 3 too wierd and gameplay is new like Rise of Nations. They should have a remake of AOC instead

I had age of empires II and i thought it rocked. I never played online, but beating computers was always fun. I used to build those ballistic towers all around my allies bases and just turn off the alliance. that was when i started to get bored. It was all in good fun though!

Dam you missed out a lot. Onlien games are much much harder than computers. most players can usually take 8 computers in post imp( the patched ai of course) deathmatch conquest. Too bad microsoft shut down all AOC servers. Does anyone know where the crowds moved to? Last i heard some groups have started hosting thier own serversI had age of empires II and i thought it rocked. I never played online, but beating computers was always fun. I have the first game...and it's pretty bad but still fun. I've played the second and it was pretty good...I've never even seen the 3rd one....maybe I should stay up to date.

Age of empires 2 is a classic. still play it at my lan parties (Britains own) wasnt a fan of first one and third one is a bit unimpressive. I think they lost it on the DS one. practically another fire-emblem without the magiks.

The third is quite good, but the others are quite basic RTS, nothing special in them.

I only really played AGE II, but I absolutely loved it. Of course, my real wish would be for Microsoft to make an AGE-style game set in the 1930's, 40's, 50's era. that type of play with that technology and machinery would be awesome in a competent game.
