i think its good to use walkthroughs when you want to see the whole game, just in case you missed something the first time. note i said first time, because usually i would try finish the game my own way before consorting to a walkthrough. unless the game was too difficult and i would spend countless hours doing nothing. but then, ONLY then would i use a walkthrough, for that brief period until i am unstuck.

I use a lot of walkthroughs, especially when i'm stuck. Is it cheating just like using a cheat code?

For me its fine but i better like playing a game and like u say when im stuck and dont know what else to do ... walkthroughs  Cheats are for ppl who dont really care about playing the game

I don't think is cheating because if your stuck that's why they make guidebooks and sell them

YES IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! game makers made them hard for a reason and if someone just buys the guide to a game then you are missing out on a lot of fun. also makes you MORE INTELLIGENT. game makers are now trying to make games more "educational" not just math but just the mind works. thats why people have to take calculus not cuz they are ever gonig to use that crap in their lives its just the process of getting there, to the answer requires us to use alot of the old noodle. why not do that with a video game and a legit excuse to not do school crap

Depends. If you are using them when you are desperately stuck, then no.But using them just because you're lazy, that is cheating.

No not walkthroughs, enless your using them step by step through the whole game, the great thing about games is that you experience whats going to happen, not read it. Otherwise you should just quit the game and go read a book.

It's only cheating if you use one on your first time through a game.

i dont think is cheating coz wheres the fun in playing if your mad at what your playing, sometimes levels are pretty hard and when there's no one you can ask how to get pass a certain phase in the game, its time to use the walkthrough!!! ^_^

Well maybe its cheating by just a bit if you use walkthroughs because you know what you need, and what happens ahead of time, but its mostly not cheating, unless you use them all the time, then I would call that cheating

I dont think that using guides is cheating. Its not like using cheat codes or anything its just more to help you get out of a bind

it's getting additional help, it's not exactly cheating unless you're too lazy to figure it out by yourself.

I don't consider it cheating no, although going through a game from start ti finish with it open or printed off beside you sure takes the fun out of it.I've written a few hundred of them myself at gamefaqs
