I say no and yes it is cheating if you haven't tried but no if you have and cant do what your meant to do

I consider it cheating if you use it for the whole game and don't try to win yourself.

I don't see it as cheating, the same as asking a friend how to do something isn't cheating, cheating is doing something to alter the game, make it easier or skip parts, a walk through simply allows you to continue playing or get the most out of your game

Nah, that's no cheating ... I use Walkthroughs often when I just can't seem to progress in the Game i'm playing.I don't use them when the game doesn't require that though.

As long as you tried to get through the problem yourself a few times (not just giving up on the first try) then i think it's all good. or if it's something that's not directly in link with the storyline ( early stronger weaponry, armor, magic and whatnot).

Remember back when Nintendo came out, everyone would wait for their monthly issues of Nintendo Power to see what secrets would be released in that issues. Or even better...Nintendo had a 1800/900 help number to call if you wanted tips or hints how to beat a certain level or boss.With the invention of gamefaqs, it made those of the past almost obsolete(sp?).I believe if you use a faq for an entire game, then it is cheating. If a person gets stuck on a certain level or boss and uses it to see how to get past that part then it isn't. Because if that is cheating, then what is the difference between that and what I described at the beginning of the post?Also if I beat a game but didn't get all of the items in the game(such as the Zelda games) then I will replay it with a walkthrough to find those items.

I consider it cheating. Whenever someone tries to help me, I'd smack them, saying "DAMNIT I'M NO NOOB! I'LL FIGURE IT OUT!" I'd then spend hours trying to figure it out, and when I finally did, you feel a great sense of accomplishent. Or if I didn't, I'd just shut off the game and smash it. Now, years of experience (and financial trouble) taught me to accept help if I desperately need it. I still feel really bad when I read walkthroughs though. I typically only use it in games like Phoenix Wright.

Well, yeah, sure it is cheating. But it isn't exactly an exam, if that's what you mean by wrong? I think it's perfectly fine to use walkthroughs, seeing as how the purpose of games is mainly to have fun. Getting frustrated and not being able to move forward can't be very much fun. I'd use walkthroughs for sure.

Personally, I don't consider them cheating. Cheating, to me, is gaining infinite health and twenty extra lives with a bunch of codes.Walkthroughs are more like a guide. If you get stuck, what else can you do?

Depends on what you mean by cheating. I dont like using it, especially RPG's but the whole point is to figure out where to go on your own.

Walkthroughs arent cheating. I only use them when i beat a game and want to beat it again 100%

I find walkthroughs not chaeting but mainly for use as a guide, coz that guy needs help and thus help is provided through the walkthrough to allow him to know what to do in case he gets lost in the game. Cheers!

If u use them to finish a game fast, yeah it's cheating. But if u get stuck and have tried for some time to progress, but you can't. Then I think it's ok to check out a walkthrough

NAok say you were playing a zelda game... twilight princess is a good topic in the water temple your stuck... you could cheat like have tons of small keys or use a walkthrough to help you get their so na it's not cheating
