Nobuo Uematsu is great. Too bad he's leaving Square-Enix to form his own band and stuff. MY favorite is definitely "To Zanarkand" (FFX) the prelude of FF7 is nice too.

The 'Paine' Vocal Collection from FFX-2 is catchy after you listen to it for a long time. As for instrumental, I like the FF7 and 8 soundtracks, particularly 'Don't Be Afraid' from FF8 and 'FF7 Main Theme' from the Piano soundtracks.

yes he is goodmy favorite song of all is the ultra famous prelude.that song haunts my dreams since i heard it when i was really young.other favorite song = who are you (jenova) another haunting song.Nobuo Uematsu ? underrated ? I don't think so.He's damn good, and many people know that.I like nearly every one of his compositions, so I can't decideunder rated.

Id have to say Zanarkand Theme was the most pleasant to the ear. The melody was so graceful, I think liek every elevator shoudl have it as backgroudn music.But to be honest the song that most fits the theme of the game has to be Eyes on Me. therefore I think thats the best one. Well actually i think ff8 had the best music out of all of the others.

Nearly every song, composed by Nobuo Uematsu is awesome. and the only reason i said 'nearly' is because the Gold Saucer theme form FF7 can get really annoying at times. 
But aside from that one, I really love his song compositions. Heck me and a friend made remixes of a bunch of FF6 songs, and we added in lyrics. Heh heh, awesomeness to the max!http://artists.iuma....Tower_of_Power/Enjoy!!
