I like the Wii, and there are so many cool play on words you can use when naming games, and you're console.

The name Wii is more imaginative than Revolution. Revolution seems overused

The Revolution was the codename for the Wii before the name Wii was released. They're the same thing, eople just thought the name Wii was funny.

The Wii's original name for the system was the Nintendo Revolution. Yes 360 degrees does mean a revolution..but that's not what it means.

I liked revolution, it sounds alright for this type of console and wii was a bit awkward but the name is still understandable

I have to say, I was the first one to say Id call it "Revolution" to the very end, and look at me playing my wii now... You see the reason Nintondo changed the name was probably because "Revolution" is a rather strong/powerful word, when looking at the competition which is far superior in power, the name wouldn't have held up very well, so Im assuming they chose Wii cause it sound cute, fun and quirky, which seems to be what theyr'e aiming for.

"Revolution" sounds somewhat pretentious, "Wii" is absolutely hilarious to pott-mouthed brits (like myself).So...Wii it is.Ironic, when the Wii /really is/ revolutionary, as opposed to the PS3 and 360 which are 'evolutionary'.

i dont lik either. The revolutoion kinda blends in w/ other names like 360. But the Wii isnt 2 great either. Who nos wat it really means? it cud mean "stupid americans" and we would never no.

I think 'Wii' is a more friendly term to the masses but revolution sounds a lot more hard core. "cooler"

Wii is a much better name, think about it, "Come over and we can start up the revolution," doesn't sound so nice o.O
