I just never got into the whole "2 people on one kart" thing that made up Double Dash. For one thing, the karts in Mario Kart 64 where much better looking with only one rider. I just never got into Double Dash the way I did with Mario Kart 64.

eh, this happened when i switched from snes to 64, i didnt like the new game as much. But over time i liked the 64 version more. I used to agree about the battle mode being better on 64, but if you give them a chance, the bomb battles are not that bad. I just wish they would have made some better multiplayer levels. The racing is much better in double dash. 2 people on a kart lets you get all those boosts and you dont have to be distracted by shooting people. Its also a neat challenge to coordinate with each other to shoot things like green shells or banana peels.I wonder how the arcade version is going to turn out....

I didn't find double dash challenging at all lol, completed it 100 % in a week each evening after work. 64 i found dull however, the few times i played it I believed the level design to be generally dull aside from a few neat ideas. Double dash had the playability for me...

Mario Kart 64 may have better battles but Mario Kart DD has better races and a lot more stuff to unlock.

Mario 64 is way better that Double Dash. I thought that they could have made DD a whole lot better. ::Sigh:: ""Disappointed""

I'd vote for the SNES version. On the N64 I thought Diddy Kong Racing was far more challenging and deeper than MK64.

MK64 has much more fun stages and a better weapon system.MK:DD improved some things, like more characters and battle stages, but battles are slow, you still can't play 4 player Grand Prix, you can't retry a stage in a Grand Prix, and there's less stages than in MK: Super Circuit for GBA.
