64 is way better..1- because it's simpler than DD and 2- it had better levels..me an my freinds would play 64 for hours on end...

i have 2 say my fav is double dash i luv all the pepole you can be baby mario bowser j.r. and the cool wepones you have and the cool levels you get 2 go 2 the only thing that i like about mario kart 64 better than double dash is rainbow road

Double dash is best, i found that mario kart 64 was unfair on good players, a game is meant to reward good players but whenever i played against anybody else even poor players they could beat me yet on 1 player they sucked.

Double dash is a great game on its own...but coming from the physics of kart 64, it just lets me down. The sliding isnt as great.....whatever happened to drafting....and the sense of speed isnt there either.

I cant really decide. MK64 is classic, but MKDD has another type of Power slide and makes the hole game easier to go for good times and such.

This is a real tough choice! But the original Kart 64 wins my vote. But I'd rather play the old school SNES MK if I had a choice.

Double dash. You actually get to get better cars and there is more expanded gameplay and there is a wider variety of characters than the Mario Cart 64. Its also a lot more fun than Mario Cart 64.

My vote is for Mario Kart 64 for one reason: mult-level battle arenas.My brothers and I could have some serious battles Royale with the Block Fort and Double Deck.

Mario Kart 64 battle modes stages > Double Dash's battle mode stages.Other then that. Double Dash is better.

I didn't like the battle stages in DD (except for Luigi's Mansion). But DD had more unlockables and stuff, so I pick DD.

Yeah the battle stages in Double Dash were a huge letdown when you figure in the large and sometimes complex maps from 64. What was that huge one with the ramps and bridges.. block fortress or something? But what Double Dash has with normal racing is much more variety. Those who team up with a friend to take on the normal mode to unlock stuff will have a much easier time using the boosts and taking out opponents, assuming they work well together heh. As far as getting a bunch of people together to race, well you don't have to play two to a car, you can each control your own car so in the end it's not really a huge issue. Just think of the guy in back as your gunner.On a side note, at least they tried to weed out some of those ridiculous bug shortcuts that popped up in 64 that would put you way ahead of the other racers if you could pull em off.

Honestly I liked the N64 version better. I guess because it was a much bigger upgrade at that time.
