I'd say having a variety is more fun, but that's just me.

You have no time to play all of them. That's my point of view

Well what i think is that it is abyoiusly a waist because you will already waist too much money o nt every system and then if you have a brother and a sister like me you will waste money on three remotes and then you will waste too much money on the games and then you will have to buy a memory card for every system so you will be able to save and then it will take you alot of time to play every game so i think it is a waste.Ahilan :P

Both extremes are bad, I think. Only one? You'll miss out on a lot. All of them? Money and time aren't unlimited. You won't be able to enjoy them all. You've got to find yourself a happy medium.

Hey, if you've got the time and money to get them all, why not. Most people don't, however. I'd say stick to what feels right for you. IE, the Wii for the player seeking a more interactive and unique control style or the XBox360 for the gamer who likes to frag a lot. If you're on the go a lot, it'd probably be a better investment to get a DS than a Wii. All this is common sense I guess..

There is no logic to this at all, it's not like you're going to play them at the same time.As far the current gen goes all I have is a 360, but that's mainly due to the ps3 and wii sucking so badly. I could see getting a ps3 in the future as a cheap bluray but no until they work out the rampant bugs the thing has, some games wouldn't hurt. The wii is an ugly gimmick as far as I care, and will not be buying one now or ever. And there are some consoles there just isn't any reason to own, like the jaguar or the 3D0. I use to try and collect them all but it's just pointless, since crap like game.com or R.zone just isn't worth the effort.

well if u have all the game systems you can play all of the games yet most games are produced on all the systems but sum arnt eg halo1 and 2 so id say yes it is a good idea to have all the systems unless ur taking bout 360 ps3 and wii then ur crazy to fork out so much money to get them all

i've had every system that came out since super nintendo, and i've realized that i did not have enough time to play each system thoroughly. I just jumped when there were only for nintendo, or only for xbox or only for playstation type games when i switched over. I'm not sure about now with the new next generation consoles. At this point, there doesn't seem to have enough reason to buy all gaming systems out right now. Hopefully with the new games and more use of each capabilities, you'll have a reason, and money will be less (altho still an issue) since price drops will surely happen.

Why not just get a console that can play all the games that it's predecessor had, such as Playstation, X-box 360 (too a certain extent), and the Wii's Virtual console. These might not be perfect, but it's better than having to waste money on all the consoles.

DEFINETLY A WASTE. I think it's best to have a good PC, one console and a handheld game. That way you don't have to waste as much as you need to.

I think it depends on who you think has the game selection that fits you the best. Of course, if you have every game system, provided that you have all that money to spend, you get the best from everyone. It's kind of like how you won't find Super Smash Bros. Melee on the PS2, but you also won't be able to play Gran Turismo 4 on the Gamecube, or Halo on any other game console. It's good to have a wide variety of games to choose from, but you shouldn't go haywire and just buy anything that's on a store shelf.

I prefer to have as many gaming systems as possible. This is so I can take advantage of console exclusives. While I can't play each one every day, I like having the options.

It sure is. Though in my opinion. PS2 was still the best console before this next generation and having a gamecube is also a good call because of it's unique games. Handhelds are premium and even having a DS and a PSP isn't exaggerating since PSP is a good emulator and DS has those innovative games.

In some cases no. Some games are only released on certain syestems. Forza Motorsport was only released on Xbox. You couldn't get on any other console.

I'd rather have one handheld and one console. If I had more than one I'd never play them all or even buy games for them all.

I have to go with having more than one system. Sure it is fun to have ONE of them, but then you miss out on the whole gaming expirience.

I think it is best if you just have one of the next gen. system and you do a pool with your friends on which person should get which system like 3 systems 3 friends each get a different one and then have friends just chill at the house and play. This way you save money and can get a action from all 3 fine models =DIndividually i would rather much have one console, one handheld, and a PC of course with time when it is needed for an upgrade and you feel it is neccessary to buy the next gen version then that next one could be your official one console.
