Then it'd be almost the exact same thing. At least American Dad doesn't have a "remember that time..." clip every 5 seconds or go "Oh hey kids! Look! A random 80's reference! HAHAHA!"

Hit or miss for me. The Mad Max episode right before Christmas and the Vietnam Reenactment on the golf course episodes were pretty funny, but usually only if there is nothing else on.

I do like it. Some of the episodes are very funny but like many others I prefer Family Guy. Although I've noticed they are somewhat similar, American Dad doesn't have the random snippets (eg: Family guy will randomly go into a completely different scene ((Burger King One)) Then come back out but American Dad doesn't do that) There was one episode I remember watching that was extremely funny. That's what made me like American Dad.

Nah. I usually change the channel. Though I saw a few episodes after I fell from a few stories and broke my legs.

The show is alright but it does not compare to South Park, or Family Guy.

Roger alone justifies watching the show. The rest of the show is ok, nothing spectacular.

I like American Dad, and I'd rather watch reruns of it than of South Park. I think South Park tried too hard to be edgy in recent seasons (can be funny, but then not so funny).

Haven't had the chance to watch it much but it seems like the same sort of humor as family guy and that's always nice. It seems a bit to "american cliche" for me though, not so much for the military sort of comedy and more for the everyday, like family guy / simpsons / south park.

One of my faves has to be when Haley dates Stan's CIA body double and when Bill leaves Stan has to pretend he's Bill and try to get Haley to dump him so she doesn't go on a crazy rampage. Funny as hell when Stan gets in the car about to leave on their romantic getaway and Haley's like: "We're finally gonna do it. We're doing it, doing it, doing it, should we stop for lunch? no cause we're doing, doing it, someone's at the door, i don't care, cause we're doing it, doing it."Haha then later Stans trying to look like a jerk and is checking out a waitress and telling haley he'd wanna have sex with the waitress on top of haley's clothes. Haley says: "Let's ask her. You could do her, then you can do me, then I can do her while you watch." Stan gets all teary and he's like: "You used to watch Sesame Street." =PI love this show. It's stupid and lame, as is with most american cartoons, including Family Guy. Vulgar and rude, it treads the grounds of sexual folly and powerful language. I used to like the Simpsons, years ago, but they're just as bad nowadays also.I prefer something a bit more interesting. But, alas, this is probably why I don't have a TV, and probably never will. Only good channel was the news/weather network...

I'm not too good with politics or political humor so I don't watch it as much. At the same time, I'm not too good with pop culture so sometimes Family Guy goes over my head too. I still prefer FG though.

American Dad's ok. Although, it does seem like a repeat of McFarlane's previous works. It has a family like cleveland show and family guy. A thing that doesn't usually speak is in all of them. A bear in CS, Brian in FG, a fish and an alien. Family guy's much better because they have random flashbacks. Family Guy could have any joke played at random times.

from where I am, Family Dad is a total new style of humur... a family dad in the FBI making fun of everything is what I call : extremely hilarious. that s the reason why they keep passing that t.v. serie.

i like american dad it has loads of rapid-fire jokes plus normally a neat story....BUT i do definately prefer family guy....it has loads of unique characters and th bonds between each of them are different but all episodes are thought out extremely well, also in family guy the griffins are a family we can all relate to with the shenaniggans that happen being extremely improbable but amazingly funny.although sometimes crude and often looked down upon, family guy is becoming an international hit becouse of its irrational scenes and because it isnt scared to take a shot or push the limits.

It's not exactly my favorite show, but if It's on I'll watch it. I feel the same way, about all of Seth Macfarlane television shows. They're entertaining enough, but not the best ever.
