It started when I watched the Dragon Quest series when I was 5 (note: not the one known as Dragon warrior in the US) From that I move on to Dragonball and Sailor moon, but back then i didn't knew what anime was.

The first anime I watched was Dragonball back when I was 4. I forgot anime for a while until I made some really asian friends, and then I got into deathnote, code geass  , and gundam. Also some of the classics like Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, etc.

Three words: Po. Ké. Mon. A classmate told me to check it out. The first episode I saw was the one where Ash and co. boarded the S.S. Anne. It was awesomeAfter that I watched DBZ, Digimon (I WISH I didn't), Tenchi Muyo, and Outlaw Star. I stopped watching animé for awhile, then my friend got me hooked again last year after showing me FLCL. Since then I've moved on to Evangelion (best animé I've seen), Haruhi Suzumiya, Rurouni Kenshin and HigurashiI'm not really into manga, although I did read Deathnote. Good, but overrated

Seems a lot of people fell into this trap with Dragonball (Add letters here if necessary) and Pokemon. I actually went a little backwards. I walked right into it after seeing a few episodes of Serial Experiments Lain at a friend's house. From there I watched Escaflowne, Ranma 1/2, Magic Knights Rayearth... then I started watching Sailor Moon in the mornings before school... got up at 5 for that... and I realized I was hooked. DBZ and Gundam... I still have the entire 1st Edition Base Set of Pokemon Cards from collecting while I watched the show. From there on to manga... I now work at an anime convention. Yep. Hooked. All thanks to three episodes of Serial Experiments Lain.

A friend of me told me about this series called Naruto and it went downhill from there. Watched all the episodes of it and read all the manga as well, turned to Bleach and did the same thing there. So how I got into Anime / Manga must have been from word from mouth.

Oh, jeez, let me think. Technically, it started on Cartoon Network with Speed Racer and Dragonball Z, and then later with Pokémon, but I didn't know the term 'anime' until I was about 10-11, when I got a subscription to a Pokémon magazine which also had bits about other anime/manga series; some of the first I remember reading about were Yu-Gi-Oh and Fruits Basket. But I didn't really get into any of them until years later. I think it started when I got tired of wondering what all the talk was about this "Naruto"--so I looked up a few episodes of the anime and was hooked. Then once I got caught up to the manga (I switched thanks to the stupid fillers), I spread out to Bleach, then to several others, though those two are the only ones I really follow.

I got into it because of the stuff I would watch on T.V. I would always watch a bunch of anime when I would come home from school when I was real young.

Hmmm... I think my liking to anime was because of Sailormoon :psy: and DragonBall... Those were the anime that I remember. Pokemon and Digimon were also factors to why I like anime. I also remember liking these anime from my childhood:) : Detective Conan, HunterXHunter, Doraemon, Mojacko, and Shaman King. Oh! And also Fushigi Yugi (but now I absolutely HATE that show, I don't know why). I started to reading manga because the anime version of Naruto was sooo slow. Now, I ditched Naruto and is currently addicted to Bleach (both anime and manga).

I was doing my internship at a certain school and one day, one student was watching Bleach Episode 112 and I was so fascinated with the animation, characters, et cetera. Then that night, I began watching Bleach from the start. Because of that day/night, I have been obsessed with Bleach and later on, One Piece, and Naruto. Go Aizen, go Luffy, and go Naruto! XD

Afternoon animes way back in the 90's caught my interest in anime. I don't quite remember the first manga I read though but I keep a close watch on the big three (Naruto, Bleach and One Piece)
