most but not allare u sayin that u wouldnt regret gettin Mario VS Donkey kong 2 which greatly sucksrather than first checkin the rom, then deciding?its a waste of money and a terrible choice all in one

that is why we have people who write reviews and gaming magazines that review them for us...for me RoMs are much more affordable in the long run. the games add up you know? i've bought DS games and i ended up spending over 200 dollars on that alone. so thank goodness RoMs exist otherwise i'll probably be spending a bit more.yes the games are not fun playing on the pc, that is why i have a r4 that enables me to play it on my ds. =)

I buy the game if i enjoy it. But I also use roms for older games like LoZ Link to the Past, which ive owned, but it broke and i never got to beat it. Besides id rather play it on my comp that a tiny GBA screen.

The only ROMs I download are games that I can't find anywhere or games I just want to test them out before I buy them

Plus, you don't have to worry about the game getting damaged. And if you do, (for whatever reason) there are free patches for those programs.

I only get ROMs for old games, and besides, all the new games I want to buy haven't had emulators made for them yet

yep for me it is I mean roms are great you get loads of free games and you'll know what you'll be getting and decide whether or not to buy them so you won't regret buying a game

I use roms only for those old games which is no longer available or games that is not sold in Singapore... I would prefer the real one... The feel of using real consoles to play is cooler than emulation ( ^^ll not really sure how to burn to disc or cart to play)

it is for mewhy waste moneysometimes, other's reviews arent enough

i used to do that for gameboy advance games. its too much of a hassle to do it for DS with all that flashing jazz, and personally now that i have a fat salary working and a little brother where i can dump the games off i just buy the ones i wanna get and see for myself if they hold up to being any good.ROMs are my way of playing games that i heard about growing up but i never really had the chance to buy (like when i was in elementary/middle school and stuff) cuz of having overprotective parents.

Only for some games. Usually the ones I'm not planning to actually bother to be able to bring to a restaraunt or something.

ROMs are my way of getting games that aren't available anymore....or are nearly impossible to get. Like the Japanese 2D shmups on the PC-Engine.

sometimes, other's reviews arent enough

A review is only as good/bad as what that 1 person thinks, who wrote it. I like to think myself unique, so i dont listen to reviews because i know i will usually think the other thing lol. I download ROMs for 2 reasons!1. I cant be bothered to buy the real game.2. Im not sure if i will like it, ROMs let me see what a game is like, maybe i will buy it.I dont buy games much anymore because well, 'why buy the cow when you get milk for free?' I will only buy a game now if the ROM sucks / to laggy to get much fun out of it.
