Gaming is scientifically proven to be good for your hand-eye coordination, but it becomes bad once it becomes an addiction. What's an addiction? Anything that stops you from sleeping, eating, or enjoying what you did before.

wow noone got the memo games are good cause i can think of 3 games that have helpped me dance dance revolution to help me exercise, guitar hero to help me play guitar, well i guess two games but while were at it why not say reading is bad for us cause it takes to a world where we can get involve and again why not say watching movies is bad tv is bad everything we do is bad everything has its purpose and games has its ability to entertain us and let us learn things too so why not say video games are the next thing to books im the type of person who will read a book until i finished it no matter what time i go to bed, i do the same with games so in essence books are bad for people too huh wrong and on that note i am done

Heck yes! ...What I mean is that I play stuff like Zelda, so besides the monster-killing junk, at least there's some puzzles (one that drove me up the wall one day) that make me think.DDR helps...uh...Well, I can't think of anything else, so let's just say that gaming is good for us. Eh heh... O_O

YES because it passes time and life is worthless

Maybe YOUR life is worthless, but some people can actually balance the two (life and gaming)

YES because it passes time and life is worthless

I'm thinking one of the biggest drawbacks to obsessive gaming or non-stop gaming is having little socialization. Take for insatnce the increase in virtual interaction, where this conversation could be going on in a classroom setting (if nowhere else) and everyone would chip in there thoughts. If anything yes, it does improve some fine motor skills and problem solving, but as mentioned above moderation would be key..On a side note, this above comment raelly worries me... video games as a passtime is good, but as a means of avoiding reality is going a bit overboard.

Gaming can improve vocabulary, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and sometimes even give good morals.

Well personally I think we gain some problem solving skills. It helps some people from going insane when their extremely bored lol. But we might all be getting cancer and just dont know it yet so we will see when the gaming generation gets older.

Actually, way back when the first video game was invented "Tennis for two", they paid the man money to create a simulator that would help pilots with their hand-eye coordination. I still believe this works to an extent. Also, the Wii mote has to be held up. The first time I played it, my arm got soar. I think it builds muscle ^_^

Like most things in life, gaming is good in moderation. Playing a game for like 24 hours wouldn't be good. Variety is the spice of life. I love gaming but I also have time to do other things, like work, socialise etc.

I really think gaming is good for us as it increases the level of knowledge in us and helps us to understand people more.
